“Chai latte for me,” Bette unbuckled her seatbelt and chucked her iPad in the space between her and a snoring Sam. She gazed at her bestfriend and the small amount of drool that was inching its way out of the corner of her lips. Now there was one person who really needed caffeine. “The usual caramel macchiato for Sammy.”
“Do you have a pen in here, Porter?” Alice asked, rummaging inside the glove compartment.
“Yeah, check under the flashlight.”
“Where? Oh.. found it..” Alice said, pulling out the aforementioned pen. “How ’bout a piece of paper? I need to write down my order.”
“No need. I know what you usually get.” Shane dismissed with a small smile.
“I highly doubt that.” Alice retorted haughtily, skepticism coating her voice.
“Al, you’ve been ordering the same thing for the past few months now. I think I can handle it.”
The blonde was still unconvinced. “My order’s complex.”
“By complex, you mean pretentious?”
“Huh? How can something remarkably plain like black coffee be considered pretentious?” Bette joined in, sounding genuinely confused.
“She hasn’t ordered that for almost a year now.” Shane clarified, having been the one privy to the change since she and Alice were the ones who religiously kept up the F4 tradition of meeting for daily brunches at the Planet. “Al prides herself in turning into a coffee snob nowadays.”
At this piece of brand new information, Bette playfully nudged the back of Alice’s seat with her knee, a teasing smile curving her lips upward. “Since when did you like your coffee complicated?”
For once, Alice kept a tight lip.
Bette turned to Shane for answers.
“The yuppies at her office made her feel small and inadequate with their elaborate coffee orders during their meetings.” Shane supplied, spilling the beans.
“You felt left out? You’re the boss.” Bette pointed out. Really, despite her audaciousness and oftentimes misplaced sense of self-confidence, Alice can be insecure about the most random things. “You can order them to drink swill if you wanted to.”
The blonde, who had tuned them out for the most part, let out a frustrated growl at her inability to find a measly piece of paper to write on. “I need paper..” She whined at her friends.

Your last update was so long ago.I have read JTG from start to finish after it was recommended to me.It has been a most enjoyable read.One of the best FF i have read.I really hope you can find it in you to finish it off.I just can’t imagine what you will have happen on their actual Wedding Day laughs a plenty i would imagine so please post very soon.x

I’ve been waiting for this update like forever! it is the best Thanksgiving gift ever, so thank u ;DEvery time I read ur stories my kids thinks that I’m crazy because I laugh by myself and they wouldn’t guess why, LOL. the male strippers part was hilarious ;D

I hadn’t read this story since the first time it came out and I just have to say that re-reading it from begining to finish was just as enjoyable as I remember! This story is by far one of my favourite stories on this site and in existence.
Although I was a little sad to see that Part 3 of the wedding road trip never made an update. I would love to see this story continued one day. Thank you for your wonderful writing!
