    “I wasn’t trying to kill you..” Tina denied, all innocent and pure. “I was only trying to wake you up..”

     

    “With your hands over my nose?!”

     

    “No silly, with your morning breath.”

     

    “…”

     

    “I wasn’t trying to asphyxiate you, I was making you smell your breath.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Pretty funky, right?”

     

    “…”

     

    “I mean, it should be. You were practically choking on it.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Don’t get me wrong, its not usually that bad. But every time you have a few drinks the night before, your breath suffers the next morning.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Omigod, especially when you drink tequila! I don’t know why it makes your breath smell like a construction worker’s sweaty armpit, but it does. It really does.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Remember all the times you’d wake up with Tic-Tacs in your mouth? That was me.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Sometimes I’d even wear a surgical mask to bed just to block the smell..”

     

    “…”

     

    “It usually worked, but there were times when your breath seeped right in like a deadly oral-fart bomb. I learned the value of breathing through my mouth during those nights..”

    Tina chuckled nervously, noticing that for the past minute or so, she was the only one speaking in this very one-sided conversation of theirs. Bette was too busy staring at her. “Did I overshare?”

     

    “A bit.” Was the sarcastic response.

     

    “Are you mad?”

     

    Bette considered the question, evaluating herself. “No.”

     

    “No?” Tina lifted her brows in surprise. “Annoyed?”

     

    “A little.”

     

    The blonde studied Bette’s face. She was bright red. But according to the brunette, she wasn’t mad. So was she.. “Embarrassed?”

     

    Ding!

     

    “Mortified.”

     

    “Sorry.”

     

    Bette sighed, her face a nice shade of crimson. Consciously, she lifted the sheets up to cover her mouth and spoke through the fabric. “You never told me about this problem of mine.. you never complained..”

     

    “I figured it was only fair,” Tina shrugged. “You never called me out for my drooling.”

     

    “And snoring.”

     

    “And snoring.” Tina repeated.

     

    A beat.

     

    “You still kissed me despite my morning breath..”

     

    “I did.”

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
