    “Why?”

     

    “You know why.”

     

    “You were horny?”

     

    Tina rolled her eyes. “And you weren’t?”

     

    Bette stared at the blonde for a moment. “That the only reason?”

     

    “What do you think?” Tina asked coyly.

     

    “I’m irresistible?”

     

    “With your killer morning breath? Hardly.”

     

    “You initiated the kissing sometimes..”

     

    “I did.”

     

    “You’re a masochist then.”

     

    “Maybe I am.” Tina agreed. “But the.. act itself and uh.. your skills more than made up for that hiccup; so it wasn’t really that bad.”

     

    “Are you saying I’m a good kisser?” Bette arched a brow, the corner of her lips tugging up in a smug grin.

     

    “Yes, ma’am.” Tina answered, taking the brunette aback with her unabashed honesty. “But you knew that already, didn’t you Miss Bette?”

     

    “Of course I did.” Bette caught herself in time and gave a nod, still keeping the covers up her lips as a barrier. She narrowed her eyes at Tina’s smiling face, studying her closely. “Kennard, are you flirting with me?”

     

    A cryptic smile pulled at Tina’s lips. “Depends.”

     

    “On what?”

     

    “Is there something written in my contract against flirting with the boss? Cause if there is, then no, I’m absolutely not flirting with you.”

     

    “And if there isn’t?”

     

    Tina quirked an eyebrow. “Then perhaps I am.”

     

    “I don’t think there is,” Bette frowned in thought, fighting a smile. Somewhere inside of her, she wanted to stay mad at the blonde for the whole mess with Kate and the necklace. But with the love of her life flirting shamelessly with her like this, the lovesick sucker in her couldn’t help but to tease right back. She missed this. She dropped the cover over her mouth and smiled that patented grin of hers. “But if ever there was, I’d have the lawyers draft a new one.”

     

    “You can do that?”

     

    “You said it yourself, I’m the boss.” Bette smirked. “What I say goes. Just don’t use it as an excuse to flirt with my dad, cause that would be disturbing in so many levels..” She teased.

     

    “Do you flirt with all your maids, Miss Bette?”

     

    “No.” Bette shook her head. She met Tina’s hazel eyes and grinned lopsidedly. “Just the pretty ones.”

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
