    Tina thought about it for a moment. “Yeah..”

     

    “What?”

     

    “You don’t have to worry about getting your hair pulled, you’re bald.”

     

    “…”

     

    “So what do you say? Want the job?”

     

    “I think I’ll pass.”

     

    “Thought so.” Tina grinned.

     

    “Hey guys!”

     

    Gabe and Tina looked at the newest arrival. The guy shared an impish look with the blonde before turning his head to smirk at the one by the door. “Hey Kate, you looking for a job?”

     

    “No.”

     

    “Too bad. We had the perfect one for you..”

    DAY TWO.

    Porter Estate, Weschester County NY

     

    “..tonight? I can’t.”

     

    “…”

     

    “No.. I’m uh..having a spa night at home.”

     

    “…”

     

    Sigh. “Tell Al she’s been partying without me for days, what’s another night without my company?”

     

    “…”

     

    “I know, I know. I’m sorry. I’ve just been busy with.. you know.. things..”

     

    “…”

     

    “I am not! Maybe you do, but I don’t diddle with maids Shane. That’s um.. unprofessional.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Ha-ha yourself! It’s not sexual harassment if she’s the one throwing herself at me.”

     

    “…”

     

    “Yeah, yeah. Fine, have fun. I’ll just see you guys tomorrow for brunch.”

     

    “…”

     

    “I will. Bye.” Bette snapped her phone shut and tossed it aside. Right on cue, the bedroom door opened and in came her slave. “Shane says hi.”

     

    Tina nodded in acknowledgment, carefully setting the tray filled with Bette’s dinner on the small dining table by the window. With the plates in place, she walked to the sectional sofa and stood idly by as her master watched another car modifying show on the Discovery Channel – with her feet propped up on the coffee table and head thrown carelessly back against the back rest. Beside her, an elderly woman sat, Bette’s long fingers placed on her lap, painstakingly painting the brunette’s nails to perfection.

     

    “A little to the left..” Bette instructed the girl massaging her shoulders, keeping her eyes locked on the TV.

     

    “Yes Miss Porter.” The perky masseuse obeyed, working her magic on Bette’s muscles. “You’re so tense..”

     

    “Stress.” Bette mumbled in boredom. Tina could’ve sworn that those brown eyes flickered towards her when she had said that, but it happened all so quick that she wasn’t so sure.

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
