“Girl, you stole Bette’s parking spot?”
“But I didn’t know it was Bette’s!”
“You could get killed for doing something like that, know what I’m sayin’?”
“Kit, just tell Bette that we’re wasting time. We should be practicing.”
“She’s right, Bette.” Shane ventured.
“We should get started,” Helena tentatively suggested.
“It is for Tina, Bette,” Kit agreed.
Bette’s glance flitted back and forth to Kit, Shane and Helena. Here eyes narrowed when they rested on Alice. She then looked down to the left for a moment. “Fine.”
“C’mon, Bette. Chop chop,” Alice chirped.
Bette began to rise out of her chair, leaning over the table towards Alice. The blonde quickly grabbed the booklet that sat in front of her.
“Frosty the Snowman was a …” Alice began.

Bette had insisted that they practice singing before eating, describing the food as a reward for staying focused.
“Bette, I may need the food in order to be focused at all,” Helena observed.
Bette reached into her purse and pulled out a protein bar that she tossed at the heiress.
“Do you have more of those, Bette?” Shane asked.
Bette found one and tossed it to Shane.
“Where’s mine?” Alice whined.
“I only had two. Shane, Helena, share with Alice.”

Kit has insisted that the group move to her office if they were going to sing. Bette had run though all of the songs twice, making certain that both the tune and lyrics had been mastered.
“OK, time to eat!” Bette happily announced as she scratched “practice with HASK” off her list.
“I’m too tired to eat,” Helena whined.
“My throat hurts too much to swallow,” Alice upped the ante.
“I can eat for both of you.” Shane tilted her head to the side, “as long as Bette is buying.”

“Wasn’t James supposed to be here?” Kit asked.
“Uh oh. James is being naughty. Dean Porter will have to sit him in a corner. Unless you are going to fire him. Are you?” Alice asked.
“he has been doing something for me.”

That was just as amazing and beautiful like your other stories. I have so missed your talented writing on this site. Can this be a possible return to the forum. I have so missed the “the wolve” story- “Backstory”. I was hoping that this was a version of that, but I am just as happy with the one I got.
