“Great!” Alice replied, earning a raised eyebrow from Bette and a chuckle from Tina.
“Aunt Alice, Mama B and me are Mama T’s favorite girls,” the little girl corrected.
“My mistake, Angie.”
“OK,” she giggled.
“Do you want some dinner, Tina,” Kit asked.
“I’m good. I just came from a dinner meeting.”
“That doesn’t mean that you ate anything, T.”
“This time, the producer did all of the talking, so I had plenty of time to chew and swallow.”
“Let me get you something to drink.”
“Sit, Kit. I’ll get it,” Bette offered. “T?”
“An Arnold Palmer, unsweetened.”
“I’ll take an iced coffee, lots of milk.”
Bette glared at Alice.
“You’re going anyway, Bette,” Alice explained.
“Anything for you Shane, Kit?”
“Nah.”
“Could you bring me some of the fruited water?” Kit described her latest introduction – a large glass clear cylinder that sat in plain view on the counter. Three to four inches of orange, lemon and lime slices filled the bottom and the rest held ordinary tap water. The lightly flavored water was dispensed through a spigot near the bottom.
“Angie, would you like some water?”
“A Coca Cola!”
“No.”
“Can I get fruit in my water?”
Bette glanced at the bar and saw that it wasn’t busy. “I’ll ask Eddy.”
Tina smiled as she watched Bette walked away, her hips swinging just a bit more than usual.
“So, are you excited about the caroling, Tina?” Shane asked.
“I am!” Angelica announced.
“And you told us all about it earlier,” Kit said kindly. “But now we want to know how your Mama T feels about it.”
“Oh.”
“Tina?” Kit prompted.
“I can’t wait!” Tina smiled at the women. “When Ed, he’s one of the daddies at Angie’s school, mentioned that there used to be a group who caroled through WeHo, I was skeptical. The idea, though, kind of grew on me and it kept growing and growing until I mentioned it to Bette.”
“Bette’s getting everyone organized,” Alice explained.
Tina chuckled. “That’s what Bette does. She’s never caroled before so she’s probably stressed out, but she’s gonna love it.”

That was just as amazing and beautiful like your other stories. I have so missed your talented writing on this site. Can this be a possible return to the forum. I have so missed the “the wolve” story- “Backstory”. I was hoping that this was a version of that, but I am just as happy with the one I got.
