Henry was standing over Tina pointing his finger at her.
Tina: I told you what happened.
Tina said wiping the blood that was coming from her lips.
Henry: shut up you cunt! Do you think I believe that for one second? I knew where you were, I saw that bastard sitting outside my house last night. You want to sneak behind my back, well I will show you.
At the Porter’s home
Bette and Angelica was sitting in the kitchen at the table doing Angie’s homework. Bette decided not to go to lunch, her stomach couldn’t take any food right now after meeting Henry and seeing the looks he was giving Tina, she feared for her safety and wouldn’t to help, but Tina had to be willing to help herself. Angelica interrupted Bette’s thought.
Angie: momma
Bette: yes boo
Angie: can I go over to Christie’s house now?
Bette: Angie baby I don’t think that’s a good ideal right now, and besides you guys just seen each other at school not too long ago honey.
Angie: I know mom but she is my best friend and she looked scared, did you see her?
Bette sighed at the visual, during the conversation between adults Bette caught glimpse of Christie’s face, she looked like a kid who just saw a monster under her bed in the middle of the night and was afraid to sleep afterwards.
Bette: yes sweetie I saw her face but I’m sure she will be fine, ok.
Bette didn’t know if she was trying to convince her daughter or herself.
Angie: ok
Angie said with the saddest small voice.
Bette then heard her phone ringing.
Bette: boo finish your homework by yourself while I go answering the phone.
Angie: ok momma
Bette reached her cellphone that was still inside her purse in the bedroom, she figured it would be her friend Alice calling or her sister Kit. Bette looked at the phone but didn’t recognize the number.
Bette: Hello?
Tina: Bette?
Bette: Tina? Is that you?
Tina: yes it’s me, I’m sorry for calling you.
Bette could tell by Tina’s voice that something was wrong.
Bette: Tina what’s wrong, are you ok?
Tina: Bette I need your help.
Bette could hear Tina sobbing on the phone and she knew exactly what might have happened.

It wouldve been good news earlier hadn’t Tina listened to everyone but she didn’t, maybe next chapter things will change
Spousal abuse probably happens way more than the public realizes. We just see the sensational cases like in the NFL And yet no one thought it was too bad UNTIL they saw the video tape of Ray Rice knocking his fiancee unconscious in the elevator.
Please give Tina the courage to press charges against Henry for attempted murder and depraved indifference. Post when you can.

Hello! I was off today so I broke down and read this story! Its a very sad and amazing story! I don’t understand how a person don’t realize they don’t have to be in a situation like abuse. All we can do is pray for them and pray they get MAJOR help! Love your self more than you love the person that’s beating you. I stepped outside my box on this one.
Everytime I write a chapter I have to step outside the box also to complete it because it becomes too emotional sometimes…sigh

I’m with topcoat! Domestic abuse is the hidden evil in our society. Hopefully you telling this story will help at least one person find the strength to get out of an abusive situation – whether heterosexual or homosexual or blood relative. Thank your for sharing.
What a day
Thank you for a wonderful update. Hope Tina’s nightmare end soon. she should have get help sooner. Abusive is a sickness , can’t explain much. A good fren of mine trying to get over her abusive boyfriend, trying to leave him many times but something holding her back. A lots of beating until end up in a very bad shape, at the end one of our fren act discreetly and beat the hell out of him, maybe an eye to an eye works better, only when he felt the pain he did to others then he will stop. Of course I don’t encourage violent here but we all felt great after hearing what happened to him. My fren is well now but no confident in other relationship.

for the victims is very difficult to take the first step to put an end to the situation. Tina just lucky because she found Bette to whom she feel confidence immediately.
I’m so glad that Tina went to Bette’s house, but the bastard found them, but police arrived in the nick of time.
