Disturbance – The Day After Part 3

Christie: really! Aw mom can I go pleassee!

Tina: well not today honey, I’m sure Angie and her mother has plans today.

Bette: actually Tina we don’t, I was just going to take Angie for lunch, maybe you and Christie could join us.

Tina was just about to accept when she heard someone from behind say her name and then she looked over at Bette who also was looking at the figure behind her, and this gave Tina goosebumps.

Figure: Hey Tina baby, I been trying to call you and tell you that I would be picking Christie up from school today.

Henry stood next to Tina then leaned over to kiss her on the cheeks. Bette could tell that Tina was scared and uncomfortable, right then she knew that had to be Henry Kennard, and for the life of her she just wanted to grab Tina and Christie’s hand and run for dear life, but she had no place, she really didn’t’ know this woman or her situation only just the obvious.

Henry: I’m sorry, excuse my rudeness…turning his attention to Bette…I’m Henry Kennard, Christie’s father.

Disturbance – The Day After Part 3

Bette just looked at Henry’s hand not wanting to touch the object that has cause so much pain to the beautiful woman standing in front of her, but she had no reasons to show rudeness to Henry so she did the only thing she could think of…and that was to make up an excuse. Henry still had his hand out patiently waiting for Bette to accept his generosity.

Bette: Hi Henry, I’m Bette Porter, Angie’s mother. I’m sorry for my rudeness but I have a cold…and you know the germs…wouldn’t want you to get sick.
Bette lied again because if it were up to her, she would kill Henry herself.

Henry was oblivious to the disgusting look Bette was giving him.

Henry: right thanks for looking out…Hi Angie, you must be a friend of Christie’s.

Henry said not really caring, he then waved at Angelica and she hid behind her mother’s leg, Henry could see the fear in the little girl face toward him but thought nothing of it…after all he had never met the little girl before, for all he knew Angie was just a shy girl to him.

    1. Spousal abuse probably happens way more than the public realizes. We just see the sensational cases like in the NFL And yet no one thought it was too bad UNTIL they saw the video tape of Ray Rice knocking his fiancee unconscious in the elevator.

Please give Tina the courage to press charges against Henry for attempted murder and depraved indifference. Post when you can.

    2. Hello! I was off today so I broke down and read this story! Its a very sad and amazing story! I don’t understand how a person don’t realize they don’t have to be in a situation like abuse. All we can do is pray for them and pray they get MAJOR help! Love your self more than you love the person that’s beating you. I stepped outside my box on this one.

    3. Oh my heart was so tight to see Tina being mistreated
by the monster, it was a very sad scene, also sad to know
      it happens in real life.
Maybe now Tina has the courage to send to jail
      this soulless.
      You are a fantastic writer!
      10 stars.

Note: I’ll have to buy medicine from the heart
      to the next chapter.

    4. I’m with topcoat! Domestic abuse is the hidden evil in our society. Hopefully you telling this story will help at least one person find the strength to get out of an abusive situation – whether heterosexual or homosexual or blood relative. Thank your for sharing.

    5. Thank you for a wonderful update. Hope Tina’s nightmare end soon. she should have get help sooner. Abusive is a sickness , can’t explain much. A good fren of mine trying to get over her abusive boyfriend, trying to leave him many times but something holding her back. A lots of beating until end up in a very bad shape, at the end one of our fren act discreetly and beat the hell out of him, maybe an eye to an eye works better, only when he felt the pain he did to others then he will stop. Of course I don’t encourage violent here but we all felt great after hearing what happened to him. My fren is well now but no confident in other relationship.
I like your story…. keep it up and more soon.

    6. Yes, it is indeed a difficult situation, but I really liked it, dear.
for the victims is very difficult to take the first step to put an end to the situation. Tina just lucky because she found Bette to whom she feel confidence immediately.
I’m so glad that Tina went to Bette’s house, but the bastard found them, but police arrived in the nick of time.
I hope, we never to be heard from him again !!!! :)
and now we are able to read the wonderful friendship of two women and finally getting closer to each other ;)
the two little girls were so sweet, I have tears in my eyes.

    7. I agree with all the comments above.

Hope we will never have to see that evil bastard and that Tina and Christie can move on with their lives.

Luckily they have two amazing persons who can support them.

You are doing a amazing job with this subject!
