A Leap Of Faith (Chapter 4)
Dana turned away. Alice stopped.
Alice: What’s wrong Dane?
Dana: Don’t do this Alice, don’t make it harder.
Alice: I thought this was what you wanted; I thought this was what we both wanted.
Dana: Is it? You tell me Al… because all these mixed messages are breaking my heart, you are breaking my heart.
Alice: How can I, when your heart already belongs to someone else? Or had you forgotten about her?
Alice begins to get up; Dana dusts herself off and turns to look Alice straight in the eye.
Dana: No I hadn’t… (sighing heavily) Maybe you’re right, maybe we should just be friends; this is too hard.
Alice: (frustration rising) Yeah well Dana, nothing with you is ever easy recently! We spend all this time coming and going and playing these stupid games. I know what I want! I might be scared but at least I’m honest!
Dana just stood and stared. Finally Alice was telling her how she felt and she was pushing her away again ‘nothing with you is ever easy recently’ the words replayed in Dana’s head. She turned on her heel and walked away.
Alice: (shouting) Where are you going? Dana you’re the one walking away now, don’t make the same mistake!
Dana turned towards Alice. Anger and despair flashed in her eyes…
“Leave me!” Dana replied. “Get your stuff, get your car and leave me! I can’t be near you right now, it doesn’t feel good… so just go, and I won’t blame you for running away because I’m telling you to go!”
Alice’s face broke; she stormed off the beach, her heart in pieces and her tears choking her eyes. She was so angry. She slammed the picnic hamper into the boot and put her foot down, speeding away from Dana, leaving her to sort out her own mess this time.

Shortly after Alice’s departure…
Dana kicked the sand in frustration “Fuck!” she shouted. She grabbed her cell and pressed her speed-dial.

This story is getting and better. Aww, they were so adorable together at the beach…untill they had that fight. :)Ok, Dana took one step with being honest to herself. Now she ‘only’ has to tell the truth to Tonya and then Alice. Not something Dana is very good at. ;) I wonder how she will handle herself. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.
Thank you for the name comment, I don’t know where it originated but I pinched it cause it is awesome lol. Great chap, seriously you gotta get these two to see sense soon!
AHHHH not the mega beast! lol i could just hear her annoying voice “pookieee i missed you soooo much” :gags: lol fantastic chap! and so long! which equals a big yay! :) lol “good things come in small packages” that they do! ;) haha of course Danish forever :P So glad Tonya doesn’t have a chance! The beach part was cuteeeeee! more more more oh and MORE plz :)
Grr… Alice and Dana just need to get it on already! Ha ha. Another fantasic chapter. But poo-poo on you for leaving us with a cliffy! You better update soon!! ;-)
TONYA! always ruining everything. Great update, first alice runs, then dana…what is up with these two. I know tonya’s gonna keep Dana from sorting out any kind of plan, great. More angst. I can’t wait for the next update, to see what happens with Ton Ton..the monster! Ha! Fabulous!!
I guess it’s Tonya or Mrs. Fairbanks, but I can’t believe that Alice actually left Dana on the beach. I thought she would have come back. Did Alice also call Shane for Dana?
Yeah! Shane came to the rescue, as usual:) I just hope Dana throws Tonya out and brings Alice back, eventually. And also this chapter was actually 2 pages! Glad to see you posted soon, and I hope there’s more on the way, just as fast! Awsome update!
Cool. I am gonna take a wild guess and say that Tonya is back a little early. That’s great though. Get her out of the picture sooner :D Great update. Loving the tension! Keep it up and post soon. You’ve got a good thing going here :P
