    Alice and Dana – make or break?

     

    Dana: Ok Al, you said we could talk, but it’s been a fairly silent conversation so far… is this how it’s gonna go? Or were you planning to actually say something sometime soon?

     

    Alice: Give me a break Dane, it’s not as if you’ve been making much of an effort either, normally I can’t shut you up, but you’re like a clam today…

     

    Dana looks at Alice quizzically, and laughs… “I’m like a clam?”

     

    Alice: Yes Dana, a clam, they are all closed up; (sighing at Dana’s lack of comprehension) it was a marine reference, given that we are by the sea…

     

    Dana laughed again “Oh I get it, very clever Al,” she nudged the writer with her shoulder in jest.

     

    Dana: (sighs gently) I love the sea, when I was younger Mom and Dad used to bring us here for picnics, I used to spend hours just gazing out at the horizon. (laughing) Howie always used to try to trip me up when we were walking along the dunes. It didn’t matter that he was a couple years younger; he always managed to get the upper hand and make it look like an “accident” in front of Mom and Dad.

     

    “What? Like this?” Alice asked, grabbing Dana by the shoulders and hooking her leg behind Dana’s knees. She pushed the athlete, sending her flying onto her back, coughing and spluttering, trying not to inhale more sand than she already had.

     

    “AL! I can’t believe you just did that!” Dana squealed. Alice just burst into fits of laughter at the sight of Dana sprawled in the sand. “Fine, if you think you’re so funny see how you like this…” Dana grabbed Alice’s ankles and pulled. The writer collapsed on top of Dana and the pair went tumbling down the dune, a mess of arms and legs and sand.

    When they finally reached the bottom of the slope, Alice found herself lying comfortably on top of Dana. They were both out of breath from laughing and screaming alternately. Alice gazed down into Dana’s deep, dark eyes. She pushed the stray stands of hair from Dana’s face, and brushed the sand from Dana’s cheeks. Dana could see the change in Alice’s expression as she leaned down to kiss her.

    1. This story is getting and better. Aww, they were so adorable together at the beach…untill they had that fight. :)Ok, Dana took one step with being honest to herself. Now she ‘only’ has to tell the truth to Tonya and then Alice. Not something Dana is very good at. ;) I wonder how she will handle herself. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

    5. TONYA! always ruining everything. Great update, first alice runs, then dana…what is up with these two. I know tonya’s gonna keep Dana from sorting out any kind of plan, great. More angst. I can’t wait for the next update, to see what happens with Ton Ton..the monster! Ha! Fabulous!!

    6. I guess it’s Tonya or Mrs. Fairbanks, but I can’t believe that Alice actually left Dana on the beach. I thought she would have come back. Did Alice also call Shane for Dana?

    7. Yeah! Shane came to the rescue, as usual:) I just hope Dana throws Tonya out and brings Alice back, eventually. And also this chapter was actually 2 pages! Glad to see you posted soon, and I hope there’s more on the way,just as fast! Awsome update!

    8. Cool. I am gonna take a wild guess and say that Tonya is back a little early. That’s great though. Get her out of the picture sooner :D Great update. Loving the tension! Keep it up and post soon. You’ve got a good thing going here :P
