    Alice and Dana – make or break?

     

    Dana ran and ran; with every footstep her head became more and more confused. It was no use, she turned to go home again, maybe it was for the best if her and Alice just tried to be friends… Tonya would be back soon and things were already complicated enough. When Dana got back to her condo, she collapsed on her bed. Exhausted physically, and emotionally, Dana fell asleep, only to be woken a couple hours later by a knocking at her front door.

     

    Dana dragged her body out of bed and without even looking in the mirror she went to find out who the visitor was.

     

    “Hey Dane… whoa nice hair!” Alice teased.

     

    Dana: Alice? Yeah well, you should see yours most mornings… what are you doing here?

     

    Alice shrugs “Touchée… it’s the middle of the afternoon though… so what’s your excuse?”

     

    Dana: I fell asleep… you haven’t answered my question though, what do you want?

     

    Alice: Well someone’s a little cranky after their nap! Look, I wanted to come by; um… do you want to go to the beach?

     

    Dana: The beach? With you? As in, just me and you? I don’t think that’s a good idea Al…

     

    Dana noticed the hurt look on Alice’s face but she continued “Because let’s face it, if you run off on me again then I’ll really be stuck.” Alice stared at Dana, not sure what to say next. “I just thought maybe, some neutral ground, we could talk and… I made a picnic…” Dana saw that Alice was really trying, and her heart melted at Alice’s efforts; a reluctant smile began to creep across the athlete’s face.

     

    Dana: A picnic? Well why didn’t you say so in the first place, let me just go and get changed…

     

    Alice: …and sort out your hair?

     

    Dana just shot a glare at Alice but the writer simply laughed; glad to see that Dana was prepared to accept her offer of reconciliation.

     

    After a more or less silent car journey, the two friends finally arrived at the beach… They walked alongside each other, with bare feet in the sand and the fresh sea air blowing against their skin.

    1. This story is getting and better. Aww, they were so adorable together at the beach…untill they had that fight. :)Ok, Dana took one step with being honest to herself. Now she ‘only’ has to tell the truth to Tonya and then Alice. Not something Dana is very good at. ;) I wonder how she will handle herself. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

    5. TONYA! always ruining everything. Great update, first alice runs, then dana…what is up with these two. I know tonya’s gonna keep Dana from sorting out any kind of plan, great. More angst. I can’t wait for the next update, to see what happens with Ton Ton..the monster! Ha! Fabulous!!

    6. I guess it’s Tonya or Mrs. Fairbanks, but I can’t believe that Alice actually left Dana on the beach. I thought she would have come back. Did Alice also call Shane for Dana?

    7. Yeah! Shane came to the rescue, as usual:) I just hope Dana throws Tonya out and brings Alice back, eventually. And also this chapter was actually 2 pages! Glad to see you posted soon, and I hope there’s more on the way,just as fast! Awsome update!

    8. Cool. I am gonna take a wild guess and say that Tonya is back a little early. That’s great though. Get her out of the picture sooner :D Great update. Loving the tension! Keep it up and post soon. You’ve got a good thing going here :P
