    Alice and Dana – make or break?

     

    Dana: Shane? Hey, yeah its Dana, look I need a massive favour… um I’m at the beach, any chance you could come and pick me up? No, it’s a long story, look I’ll explain later, so see you in about half an hour? Ok great thanks… yeah I’m ok… honest… see you later.

     

    Dana snapped her phone shut and slumped down onto the sand to contemplate her behaviour. She thought she was doing the right thing, so why was her heart aching so badly? Tears formed in her eyes and softly began to drift down her burning cheeks.

     

    “Hey Fairbanks! So what’s up?” Shane hollered from the far end of the beach towards Dana’s crouching figure. At the sound of Shane’s voice Dana shakily stood up and dragged herself over to meet the welcoming embrace of her friend.

     

    “Oh God Shane, you have no idea,” Dana sighed.

     

    Shane: Let me guess… this wouldn’t have anything to do with a certain blonde journalist would it?

     

    Dana just looked at Shane, tears forming in her eyes again.

     

    Shane: Oh man, you’ve got it so bad… come on Dane, don’t worry, we’ll sort it out. Why don’t you grab a seat in the truck and tell me all about it.

     

    So that’s exactly what Dana did, she let it all out; all her emotions, fears and insecurities. Shane nodded and agreed at appropriate pauses, and when Dana finally finished Shane sighed and asked “So, what are you gonna do now?”

     

    Dana: Oh I don’t know, go home and hope that a massive crack in the ground opens up and swallows me whole?

     

    Shane laughed at her goofy friend’s behaviour; she could always rely on Dana for a dose of melodrama…

     

    Shane: Don’t be silly Dane, it’s not that bad, besides, I’d kind of miss you, and from what you’ve just said, I wouldn’t be the only one… You just need to sort out how you feel…

     

    Dana: I know how I feel! I just don’t know what to do about it…

     

    Shane: Ok, ok well I suggest that you sort out your priorities. You said it yourself that things work well with Alice when you allow yourselves to be honest with one another. There’s no reason that you should stop now, but remember… Al isn’t the only one you have to be honest with…

    1. This story is getting and better. Aww, they were so adorable together at the beach…untill they had that fight. :)Ok, Dana took one step with being honest to herself. Now she ‘only’ has to tell the truth to Tonya and then Alice. Not something Dana is very good at. ;) I wonder how she will handle herself. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

    5. TONYA! always ruining everything. Great update, first alice runs, then dana…what is up with these two. I know tonya’s gonna keep Dana from sorting out any kind of plan, great. More angst. I can’t wait for the next update, to see what happens with Ton Ton..the monster! Ha! Fabulous!!

    6. I guess it’s Tonya or Mrs. Fairbanks, but I can’t believe that Alice actually left Dana on the beach. I thought she would have come back. Did Alice also call Shane for Dana?
