    Alice and Dana – Reconciliation?

     

    Alice: Ohhh right… so, if you’ve got all the answers then why didn’t you go with her, smart-ass?!

     

    Dana: Because… because I have training, that’s why, and as my manager, Tonya knows that it’s important for me to keep up my regime to stay on top form for my next tour! So there!

     

    Dana emphasised her point by sticking her tongue out at Alice; the two women burst out laughing; any overlying tension was immediately relieved as the friends began to feel at ease in one another’s company.

     

    Dana: So, you must be starving, I mean it’s like ten o’clock and you haven’t had any dinner? (pointing to the kitchen) I think there’s still some salad and rye bread left over…

     

    Alice: (looking down at the floor) Ok um, maybe I wasn’t being completely honest, I stopped in at Burger King on my way over because I really didn’t want to eat any of your health food crap, but I wanted to come over anyway…

     

    Dana: Alice Pieszecki! Shame on you… and hey… I do not eat ‘health food crap!’ you should try it sometime… it’s better than the junk you eat!

     

    Alice: Junk!! It is not junk! Besides, I know how you feel about fast food so actually I had a chicken salad…

     

    Dana: (teasing) with extra mayo I bet!

     

    Alice: (blushing) Yes… but y’know… baby steps towards a better diet…

     

    Dana: Aww your blushing… you’re so cute Al, and you forced yourself to eat rabbit food for me?! I’m honoured!

     

    Alice: Yeah well, that’s not all I’d do for you Dane…

     

    This time it was Dana’s turn to blush. She was suddenly aware of the tension rising between them, but not an uncomfortable tension; an electric tension. The air was fuelled with desire, and Dana could feel the hairs on the back of her neck begin to stand up.

     

    Alice cleared her throat, she too could feel the change in atmosphere and it made her nervous, she’d already said too much…

     

    Alice: Ok so we’ll forget about the food… wine?

     

    Dana: You read my mind… I’ll go and get the glasses…

     

    In fact, Dana was glad that Alice couldn’t read her mind, or she’d realise that drinking wine with her best friend was the furthest thought from her at that moment.

    2. no wayyy ty so much for the brilliance tho i think that’s a bit much! lol but enough about that.. HOORAY! lol im telling you i just hold ALOF in my arms for safe keeping cuz i love the beginnings of Danish and they way you have it all laid out is just great! Well.. i only allow short chaps if its packed with greatness… and this was fantastic so its allowed! even Alice stopping at the end and leaving was great because it just keeps me glued here waiting to see how they are going to dance around this situation. and how Tonya gets kicked to the curb! lol Post SOON SOON or.. when you can :) oh and glad to hear your feeling better!
