The caring gesture reminded her of their first meeting.  Madison was shivering and ashamed desperately trying to cover up, yet Kasey never judged her for what had happened that night.  Instead she gave her the jacket that she had worn and brought the Latina home safely.  Madison would have to admit to herself that she indeed had a slight crush on the girl.

Spencer and Ashley were now standing near the kegs near Aiden’s group.  “C’mon Spence, just one beer.”  Ashley tried to convince the young blonde.

“If I go home with alcohol on my breath my parents will kill me.”  She waved off the plastic cup filled three quarters of the way up.  “No thank you.”

“Alright, you’re loss.”  Ashley shrugged and chugged the beer in one single breath.  She used the back of her hand to wipe the brew that was stuck to her upper lip.  “That’s how it’s done!”  She shouted filling the cup again.

“Yes it is!”  Aiden stumbled in, his breath smelt terrible.  The boy placed an arm around Spencer and raised his cup.  “Spence you should really try this, it was definitely a good year for…”  He glanced over at the guy who threw the party.  “What kind of beer is this Chris!!??”  He yelled, startling the blonde.

“Budweiser!”  He replied, a little tipsy.

“It was definitely a good year for Budweiser Spence!”  And with that he mimicked Ashley’s actions and chugged his beer within seconds.

“I’m going for a walk.”  She shrugged his arm and left with Ashley in tow.  Spencer was in no mood to get drunk tonight.  She wanted to enjoy the party with an equally sober Ashley.

The pair immediately noticed a glum looking Kasey near the fire sitting next to Madison whom in her own way looked distant.  Quietly Ashley slipped in next to the short haired brunette.  “Geez, aren’t we a bunch of party animals tonight.”  She nudged Kasey.

“Woohoo…”  Kasey sighed and threw the remainder of her beer into the fire causing it to sizzle.  Kyla heard the unusual sound caused by the flames and looked up.  “Sorry guys, I’m just…not in the mood tonight I guess.  Anyway, I’m gonna go find Aiden.”  She glanced up locking eyes with her girlfriend.
