I stared at her for a few seconds before I finally mustered out, “I won’t do anything illegal.”
Ashley didn’t even look at me, “I’m not going to make you do anything. I didn’t agree to trade with Aiden because I wanted to torture your or something. Honestly, I just don’t care about you. I only care about torturing and pissing off Madison, and I’m willing to bet that she’s freaking out right now. Hopefully, she’s pulling out her weave as we speak.”
I looked at my hands in my lap, “Oh.”
”Yeah, you’re free to go whenever you want to.”
I nodded to myself, “Um… thanks?”
”I’m going to assume you’re thanking me for helping you to realize what a douche your boy friend is and for that you are very welcome.”
I smiled slightly and nodded before standing up. I glanced at her again and bit my lip. She still didn’t look at me, instead focusing on flipping channels. I sighed and turned, walking back to the door.
”Close the door behind you.”
I nodded, even though I doubt she was even looking at me, and shut the door as I exited the room. I walked down the hall and down the stairs. I thought about looking around but decided against it and walked to the door. I unlocked it, doing my best to be as quiet as possible. I opened the door and locked it again as I walked out and pulled the door shut. I checked to make sure it was shut and locked before I walked to the end of the driveway.
I took a deep breath before pulling out my phone and dialing my dad. I held the phone to my ear as I glanced up and down the street.
”Hello?”
I smiled, “Hey dad, it’s me. I need a favor if you’re not too busy. I’m kind of stuck on the other side of town.”
”Sure what is it?”
”Could you pick me up?”
”Of course and if I can’t make it, I’ll send one of your brothers.”
I smiled, “Thanks dad.”
”No problem love but can I ask, why are you over there?”
