“It happened at the hay ride.” Again Lily was shaking her head. “Lily, listen. You didn’t know where she was that night.”
“But they would have said something at school, they wouldn’t have lied to us! They said she skipped town!”
“The sheriff’s station thinks she did skip town-”
“Oh, but you know better, do you Carlin? You and Davies playing “hardly boys” know something the FBI doesn’t?!” She sneered, jumping out of her seat making her chair tip over.
“I think it’s the Hardy Boys.” Ashley mumbled.
“I think that was the point, Ash.” Spencer muttered back.
“Don’t fucking sit there and tell me my best friend is dead when you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about!” Lily screamed, advancing on Spencer.
“Woah, woah, woah, Zee, get the fuck out of Spencer’s face!” Ashley screamed back, getting in between both girls.
“Aw, how cute, Davies, crushing on another straight girl.” Ashley fumed and went to yell back, but Spencer cut in.
“Lily, please calm down, we can explain, we have proof!” The blonde said calmly, trying desperately to defuse the situation. At her words, Lily visibly stilled, mouth still agape.
“What are you talking about?” She whispered, looking horrified. Just then, a doctor and nurse peered from behind the curtain.
“Is everything okay back here?” The doctor asked firmly before he pulled the curtain aside and entered the room. Without answering, Lily tore from the room. The doctor and nurse looked on uncomfortably.
“Okay?” The doctor said moving to look at Carmen’s chart. “The x-rays are taking a little longer than expected and we haven’t heard from Ms. Mendez’s mother yet, so we’ll just have to sit tight. I’m Dr. Montanio, so if you have any questions let me know.” The two girls nodded and were about to leave the room behind the doctor when the nurse stopped them.
“Spencer Carlin?” The elderly nurse asked. The blonde looked at the nurse and gave a small smile.
“Hi.” She responded a little uncomfortably. The nurse’s smile broadened.
“You don’t remember me, not that I blame you. I’m Dottie O’Boyle, I knew your mother and of course Marie.” Spencer smiled politely and nodded. When she was unfortunate enough to be at the hospital, she’d often have this conversation with people. “I was very fond of your mother, she was a great doctor.” And almost as an afterthought. “And of course Marie is lovely.” Again Spencer just nodded, trying to hold in her tears.

dun dun dun! another fantatic chap stix! I was hoping ash and spence would’ve used their closet time to really express what they feel for each other but hey it worked out anyway, at least they didn’t really get mad at each other in this chap. I loved the way spence was so concerned when ash told her about almost being hit by the car, that was so great. and are you serious? you’re almost done with this?? =( ahh well it’s definitely worth all the suspense and angst! excellent job, can’t wait to find out what they just found out in the files aobut their parents. pms please!!
mmmm. thts all i can say. amazing. theres so much stuff going hand in hand. i personally think the killer is christine and the protege is paula. guess i’ll have to find out. and u being a naughty girl ;) shame shame. lol PMS!!

That was an awesome update. I want to know what happened to their parents that would cause a reaction like that. Its just wow. I bet they will figure out who the killers are. I missed this story I am glad you updated. Spence is so going to come out to Ash because you just can’t leave feelings like that hidden forever. Well her mouth may not speak them but her hands are eager to show. Haha. Well I hope everything is going good with you and I hope you post soon. -jess
brat!! if paula and raife didn’t die in a car accident i’m going to be very upset and i’m also still convinced that paula and raife are the killers. and i haven’t ruled out arthur yet…hmmm…oh and whatever happened to the girl that was trapped and restrained by the killer a few chapters back…perhaps that’s christine and that’s how they got into ashley’s house…oh yes, my wheels are spinning and you can’t convince me otherwise. ughhh i don’t know what to make of everything, i need to re-read the story in it’s entirety and take notes. but it was a splendid update that i thoroughly enjoyed reading and i think that you should write the rest of it right now. ha, isn’t it great that i have my username back? i bet you just missed all of my demands and unreal expectations. i sure missed emmmm :-)
