“Is everyone all right?!” Lily asked, on the edge of her seat.
“We’re fine, thanks.” Ashley answered sarcastically. “But we’d really like to get to the fucking bottom of this before being impaled on a sword.” Carmen flopped over onto the bed, exhausted and still in pain. She groaned a few times, eyes fluttering shut, before she passed out.
“Oh you got to be kidding me.” Ashley mumbled as she rolled her eyes. “I’ve seen better acting from Megan Fox, Carmen! Wake the fuck up and answer the nice lady’s questions!” She yelled down at the sleeping Latina.
“Ash, I think she’s really asleep.” Spencer muttered, getting up on her tip toes from the foot of the bed to observe Carmen’s sleeping form.
“Pft, likely story.” Ashley sneered. Lily was looking around the room desperately, still caught up in what Ashley and Spencer told her.
“This is absolutely nuts. Why isn’t the sheriff doing something about this?! The FBI?!” Lily shrieked. Suddenly it hit both Ashley and Spencer of the bad news they had to deliver to Lily and Carmen. They exchanged glances and fell silent. Lily noticed the interaction. “What? What is it?” She asked desperately.
Spencer took a step forward, closer to the sitting girl, and bit her lip. “Uh…Lil…there’s something we need to tell you.” Lily’s eyes got wider as she waited. With all the death circulating, Lily was preparing herself for the worst.
“Jonica’s dead.” The blonde whispered, eyes trained on the floor. At the news, Lily inhaled violently and froze in her seat, eyes wide and mouth open. There was complete silence aside from the familiar hospital noises and Carmen’s soft snores. Then, something snapped and Lily was shaking her head.
“No. Someone would have told me, it would have been announced. She left town, she didn’t die.” Lily said, still shaking her head and shrugged her shoulders in complete denial. Spencer felt sympathy for the girl and frowned as she pulled up a chair closer to Lily.
“Lil, I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s the truth.” Spencer whispered, trying to reason with the girl.
“So how come it’s not on the news. The power’s out in my part of town but I’ve been listening to the radio in my car and they would have said something to me, the police would have come to me and–” Spencer took Lily’s shaking hands and looked her square in the eye.

dun dun dun! another fantatic chap stix! I was hoping ash and spence would’ve used their closet time to really express what they feel for each other but hey it worked out anyway, at least they didn’t really get mad at each other in this chap. I loved the way spence was so concerned when ash told her about almost being hit by the car, that was so great. and are you serious? you’re almost done with this?? =( ahh well it’s definitely worth all the suspense and angst! excellent job, can’t wait to find out what they just found out in the files aobut their parents. pms please!!
mmmm. thts all i can say. amazing. theres so much stuff going hand in hand. i personally think the killer is christine and the protege is paula. guess i’ll have to find out. and u being a naughty girl ;) shame shame. lol PMS!!

That was an awesome update. I want to know what happened to their parents that would cause a reaction like that. Its just wow. I bet they will figure out who the killers are. I missed this story I am glad you updated. Spence is so going to come out to Ash because you just can’t leave feelings like that hidden forever. Well her mouth may not speak them but her hands are eager to show. Haha. Well I hope everything is going good with you and I hope you post soon. -jess
brat!! if paula and raife didn’t die in a car accident i’m going to be very upset and i’m also still convinced that paula and raife are the killers. and i haven’t ruled out arthur yet…hmmm…oh and whatever happened to the girl that was trapped and restrained by the killer a few chapters back…perhaps that’s christine and that’s how they got into ashley’s house…oh yes, my wheels are spinning and you can’t convince me otherwise. ughhh i don’t know what to make of everything, i need to re-read the story in it’s entirety and take notes. but it was a splendid update that i thoroughly enjoyed reading and i think that you should write the rest of it right now. ha, isn’t it great that i have my username back? i bet you just missed all of my demands and unreal expectations. i sure missed emmmm :-)
