    It’s decision time for Ashley, is tonight the night?

    ‘Nope, my brain turns to mush, hell I can’t even speak!’ I groaned and hid my face against her thigh and her hand came to rest gently on the back of my head.

    ‘You can’t think straight, your body betrays you and every part of your being feels connected?’ I turned in astonishment at her words and looked up into those almost black eyes.

    ‘Yeah,’ I admitted quietly.

    ‘How does she feel?’ Kate asked softly.

    ‘Bella says she never dates, never sleeps around even though girls are begging her. She was very surprised when I told her it was all her. I did nothing, babe I was fucking helpless. Just like with Spencer.’ I explained honestly.

    ‘But you’re not in love with Spencer, never have been right?’ I nodded slowly. ‘Spence never made you feel things so deeply? As in soul deep?’ This time I shook my head and there was silence for a while.

    ‘Then go for it,’ Kate’s voice was deep with emotion. ‘You can’t fight it.’

    ‘Addison?’ I suddenly understood why she would know this and her nod confirmed it.

    ‘But you knew, you backed down.’ Kate said and it was my turn to nod.

    ‘Yeah, it was pretty obvious,’ I smiled at the bitter-sweet memory. You could practically feel the energy running between Kate and Addison the first time they had met. I felt as though I would have been given an electric shock if I’d have stepped between them at that moment.

    ‘Spencer was out of line,’ Kate continued and I sat up in surprise, I’d totally not expected her to say anything against Spencer. ‘But she’s just still in protection mode, once she knows it’s not about the conquest she’ll back right off, be happy for you,’ my friend explained.

    ‘But I’m not fucking hers to protect Kate,’ I was getting angry all over again. ‘May was just as fucking bad, I felt like a piece of fucking property.’ I yelled into my room but Kate stayed calm, just laid a hand gently on my shoulder.
