Spencer caught my stare and held it thoughtfully for a second before switching her gaze to Bella, then back to me. I sat back in the chair and felt another pair of eyes on me. May was watching me interact with Spencer, a fact that did not go unnoticed by the blond. She narrowed those blue eyes and turned her stare to the Asian girl who coolly met her eyes but didn’t back down. I could have understood it from Spencer, hell it would have been hot had she not have been all over Ashley as she was doing it, this was more than looking out for me as a friend. What was I? A bitch to be fought over, a piece of territory to piss on. No fucking way, I was beyond pissed with both of them, I glared at each of them before standing up and heading inside to my room leaving Bella wondering what the hell was going on.

What was going on with Maggie? I watched her for a second before she noticed us and was intrigued by what I saw, as Maggie talked to her friend a pair of dark eyes was fastened on her and they were more than curious. She was deep in conversation with Bella but looked over when she saw Ash and I come out to the pool. May was staring at her almost possessively, what gave her the right? She didn’t know her, you can’t just walk in and claim a girl like Maggie, you have to earn her. May very quickly noticed my interest and our eyes met, I couldn’t hold back a protective glare which was obviously caught by Maggie, she reacted badly and threw furious glances at me and May before storming into the house.

I debated whether or not to go after her but decided to follow Ashley to the poker table where they had left seats for us. My mind wasn’t on the game as I was worrying about upsetting Maggie, it hadn’t been my intention but my first instinct had been to protect her, I was soon distracted from my thoughts by the cuteness that was Amy and Thea. When Amy blushed after being kissed I squeezed Ash’s hand under the table, I hadn’t been able to break the contact as I was so desperate to be close to her. She looked down, fighting the shyness that sometimes overtook my confident, sexy girlfriend before regaining her composure and smiling at me. If she had noticed Maggie disappear she didn’t show it but seemed distracted and unfocused, I’d give her time and ask her about it when we were alone.
