My One Special One – Chapter 26
Previously…
The tall, handsome man with the penetrating eyes leaned back in the elevator after pressing the button for Tina’s floor….his lips curling into a self-satisfied smirk.
“It’s going to be so good to see you, Sis…oh, yes, it is.”
The elevator bell rung as it stopped on Tina’s floor. The doors opened and the soles of a very expensive pair of Bruno Magli shoes hit the hallway carpet.
Just as Tina stepped into a pair of loafers there was a firm rap on her door.
“Be right there, Greg.”
Tina walked to her door –

Bette pulled the door to her shop closed and locked it.

Tina turned the deadbolt; then excitedly pulled the door open. “I am so happy to see…”
“Hello, Tina. I can’t tell you how happy I am to see you, too.”
“What the hell are you doing here…damn it, John.”
“Aren’t you going to invite me in?”
John leaned forward aggressively. Tina knew all too well how this man could rule whatever room he was in. He would take command and did not ask permission – for anything. She did not want to anger him, but did not want him near her either.
“No, John, I’m not going to invite you in because I never invited you to be here in the first place. Please just leave.”
“Waiting for your Bette Porter to arrive so you can snuggle in for the night, um?” John’s penetrating eyes bore into Tina’s like the heat of a laser knife.
“How did you…” Tina desperately tried not to sound nervous. She doubted she succeeded. John unnerved her and he knew it.
“Funny, never thought you’d be a member of the muff diver league, Tina, especially remembering the way you enjoyed performing oral sex on me…quite well, too, I might say.”
You should only know silently went through Tina’s mind. She had actually intensely disliked ‘performing’ oral sex on men. In fact, the whole sex thing with men came down to a realization that she was doing what she thought she should be doing. It had been okay, but there never were skyrockets in flight. Tina just stared at John.

Its bad when someone who knows the law is stalking you. He didnt do any thing wrong Tina let him in he just kissed her. but a retraining order will keep him so many feet away and any phone calls. but can’t stop him from hiring other people to do his dirty work for him. Plux could be in trouble. thanks

John scares me, because he has already stalked Bette and now he is letting Tina know that he will not take no for an answer. Beautiful Poem as always.
OMG… bette should take her to her apartment for good… the hell with that bastard rick… or better yet to a place no one knows about… some hotel… some where but not at tina’s… love this story… please keep them safe…

I swear no pun was intended…okay I’m a bad liar a lame pun was intended. You know it’s bad when someone who knows the law is after you. =/

Another awesome post Rene. This is such a great story! I love your skills – you have a profound ability to “take me there.” I feel like I’m standing right there watching it happen as I’m reading it. I can’t help but want to reach out and slap Rick and John and then drag Tina & Bette off to a safe haven. It seems to me that Tina would technically have a case for a restraining order – he did make sexual advances towards her – holding her close against him and then he kissed her on the lips…and him knowing Bette’s name really creeped Tina out – she needs to tell Bette about that. At the very least Bette should get Tina and herself out of Tina’s apartment now! What was Rick doing in the courtroom? And OK – Tina is an intelligent woman…she knows she is in danger due to the case she is working on, so why would she open her door without looking through the peek hole, or at least leave the chain hooked until she saw who it was? And asking the front desk to let her talk to whomever is wanting to come up…well, there all all kinds of ways around that. They need to get out of that apartment and report it immediately!! Oh, and did Tina’s mom meet with her long lost lover yet?
I totally agree with Amanda. Why is Tina still staying in her apartment? She should be either staying with Bette at hewr place, or they should be renting or subletting a place until the trial is over.
