    Window of Opportunity ch. 51

I was anxiously waiting for that 6 month mark so we could start planning the wedding. I was excited and Tina and I had gone out and gotten her a ring that was really beautiful. It was so different from mine but so Tina. At the 4 month mark we were sitting out by the pool one night after Angie went to bed enjoying some time alone. We still kept our promise to take at least 15 minutes a day talking. It didn’t matter if Tina was on the road or not, those 15 minutes was found daily. It usually was much more than that but when life was crazy that was guaranteed.

As Tina poured tea for me she had a look on her face that I couldn’t quite read. She and Dan had a session earlier and she hadn’t told me yet what was discussed so I waited. There was no need to prompt her. We had both gotten in the habit of sharing our sessions with each other when we were ready.

“Baby, is the show coming together ok?” As usual before she started, she asked about me.

“Yes it is. It’s actually ahead of schedule and I think it’s going to be pretty wonderful.”

“Had everyone committed that you were trying to get?” She knew that was usually the hardest part. First get them to commit then get them to actually get their work to me in a timely manner.

“Yes, there are three artists and all have committed and two have already sent their work. James has been busy making sure it’s all hung properly and with the grad students helping, it’s nothing like the CAC. There it was only James and I killing ourselves. We now have more help than we can use. The last artist should have his work arriving in the next couple days so we will have the show hung at least 8 days before the show. Can you believe that?”

“Oh Baby, that’s wonderful. I was just concerned. I’ve never seen you this calm before a show but that explains it. I’m so happy that you’re at CU. Being there has done wonders for you.”

“Yeah, it’s much better for me. I’m not running around in so many directions and James really knows his stuff. I’m getting afraid that he may move on.”

A new baby, a wedding, and adding on to the house all at the same time. But they have talked about it and will continue to do so it should be alright for them. Those kinds of things just tend to be a tad bit stressful.
