    Talk of the future. Tina’s on a mission.

    “Do you think so? Has he said anything?”

    “Well, I’m hoping not. He hasn’t said anything but he knows what he’s doing and could take it with him anywhere. Next show he’s in charge from start to finish so as I give him more responsibility, I may be able to hold on to him. I would be lost without him but if he decided to leave, I think he’s ready to tackle anything. He and I are going to talk after the show so I can let him know I want him to stay but will support him if he wants to move on.”

    “I can’t imagine you without James.”

    “Neither can I. Phyllis is already going to the Board to get him a raise. Putting up with me should already get him paid more than he’s getting paid but with more responsibility, he deserves it.”

    “Want to hear what Dan and I talked about?”

    “Of course.”

    “Bette, I know it may be too early and we may be too new in our relationship but I want another baby. I want to experience the whole pregnancy with you by my side and us to give Angie a sibling.”

    I sure wasn’t expecting that but was thrilled. “What did Dan say?”

    “Surprisingly not a lot. He wondered if it was too early for us to try but thought that even if we didn’t work out, your commitment to Angie in the past would carry over to a new baby and we would be ok in that sense. Have you thought about us having another child?”

    “I have but felt that you would want to wait.”

    “It scares me.”

    “Why?”

    “Our worst times have been surrounded around pregnancies. We fell apart after both of them. I don’t want to risk that for my own selfish desire to have another baby.”

    “We’re not at that same point T.  The reasons we fell apart only had a little to do with the pregnancies and this time, we would be aware of what we need to do differently. We weren’t communicating then. We’re so much better now. When were you thinking?”

    “We have 6 months of attempts stored at the cryobank. I know in a couple months we’re going to talk about the wedding. I would like to pregnant when we get married. I want our little one to be there too even if still just a wee thing inside of me.”

    8. We have 4 weeks left. I can’t wait. I love how Bette and Tina have opened themsleves up to each other. I also love how the parents have become important to both Bette and Tina. It is nice to see Bette asking Sam for advice and getting that advice. This is a wonderful beginning to a beautiful family.

    17. Fantastic chapter and so happy to see this post, I loved every word of it.You are doing such a wonderful job writing this story and everything is going so well. A new baby, a wedding, and adding on to the house all at the same time. But they have talked about it and will continue to do so it should be alright for them. Those kinds of things just tend to be a tad bit stressful.
