    Bette’s reaction to the proposal.

    “We will eventually. Trust me on that one.”

    Who did she think she was? Of course we would eventually have sex in her office. In all the differing places we’ve had sex; we didn’t start off thinking we would have sex there. We would usually get carried away in the moment and we would end up fucking each other’s brains out. This was not going to be an exception. I just smiled at how naïve she was in regards to us, sex and our ability to practice self control.

    I told her about my morning and about Shana’s return. She quietly just took it all in and I was again as proud as I could be of her and her ability not to let the news ruin her or our happiness. We had an enjoyable lunch and I wondered why I hadn’t thought to do this earlier. We made plans about Angie and then gathered our trash items. As she walked me to the door with her arm around my waist, I wished we both could just cut out for the rest of the day. I wanted her so badly but with the work sitting on my desk, I knew that was impossible. I didn’t even suggest it because if she was in agreement, it would take little to convince me and today was just not a day that I could blow off. We kissed passionately before she opened the door for me and that did nothing to help my state. I found my hands wandering and felt her hand stopping me. Damn.

    “Don’t even get any ideas T. Thanks for lunch. Go back to work now and perhaps, we can finish letting your hands roam freely after Angie goes to bed.”

    “Ok Baby. I’ll hold you to that. Just so you know… I’m so wet right now; you have no idea what you’re passing up.”

    Her facial expression was priceless as I turned and walked out.

    Tina’s arrival with lunch, although unexpected was certainly welcomed. I figured something big had to have occurred to get her here but let her go at her own pace in telling me. I was first concerned that perhaps her parents had cancelled so was very relieved to know that wasn’t the case.

    1. What an amazing chapter! So many beautiful moments…And so many remarkable spots to speak of…But I’ll restrain myself…My favorite line, I think, was: “I want to know what she’s feeling and what she’s thinking.” To me, that’s a picture of love…wanting to embrace the all of it. Forgiveness is a truly marvelous thing. Not sure I’m making any sense…but…Wonderfully deep storytelling. Thanks, nagster :)

    4. What a wonderful chapter Newage. Having them loving one another so deeply after everything they’ve been through is truly wonderful. Now let’s see what the parents will do, although I think they have learned their lesson and will not be able to find enough ways to be nice and sweet to everyone and besides Angie will talk their heads off after she gets used to them, about a day probably.     13. Yes!!! Glad Bette managed to mumble that word out after recovering from her state of shock. It’s the only apt respone to Tina’s heartfelt proposal. Sooo happy for these two. Loved the gleam in Tina’s eyes when she looked around Dean Porter’s office. I have a feeling they’ll eventually do the deed there; it’s only a matter of time. *wink* If they can make it at the backseat of a cab, they can certainly make it anywhere! Loved the adorable motormouth Angie who must have gotten that trait from Alice through osmosis. Is this the calm before the probable awkward, stormy visit of Tina’s folks? Let’s see how that reunion will play out. Btw, I hope you’re not done with the envelopes yet. There’s so much more about their storied past that I want to find out like when did they decide to live together? What and where was their first love nest?
