I took the packages out and passed them around. Angie was beside herself that she had a present to unwrap. The rest just sat there absorbing Tina’s words and were brought back as they heard Angie tearing into her wrapping. She squealed when she saw the totally pink outfit which included a sequined hat. The outfit itself was adorable but the hat was gaudy as hell but my opinion mattered little since she was thrilled.
Shane was next and loved it. She decided right then that next week’s family night was poker night. Damn, one of the girls on the box was someone she knew.
Kit opened hers next and was surprised. I had remembered a purse that she had pointed out one day and it was almost the same one. She exclaimed it was too expensive a gift to accept and we both assured her that no money in the world could ever repay all that she’s done for us.
Alice of course being Alice took a look at hers and had a smart comment about how Tina got the real deal and she got a video. She was smiling the whole time and put the shirt on right over the one she had one.
James opened the bottle of Scotch and was thrilled that I remembered his preferred brand.
We enjoyed dinner immensely. We were together celebrating our engagement with our family and each person offered to spend time with Angie if needed while Tina’s parents were in town. Alice insisted that her keeping a secret almost killed her and she had to go underground to keep it to herself. Angie fell asleep in Shane’s arms before dessert so I settled the bill and Tina and I prepared to leave.
“The bill is taken care of. You can have dessert and more drinks. We thank you for celebrating with us because it wouldn’t mean as much without you guys.”
Hugs went around the table and Shane handed Angie to me. We made our way to the car and placed her in her seat. Tina took my hand as I started to back out and we rode silently back to the house. It was a great evening and hopefully, more was to come.
Angie never woke from the restaurant until Tina placed her on the toilet before putting her in bed. I was already waiting for Tina when she finished and she went into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She came back out with nothing on and slid under the covers beside me.
“I think you owe me after that rejection today.”
“Rejection? I was just helping you build up the suspense for tonight.”
“Well, I don’t need any more suspense. I love you Baby.”
“I love you too T.” I told her as I lay upon her and started grinding into her. Our night went well into the morning hours. When I thought I was satiated, she pulled more out of me. Her tongue and fingers explored every crevice of my body at least twice. It was of course reciprocated. She was a woman possessed and since I kept up with her, I must have been too and it was wonderful. We finally fell asleep completely sweaty, beyond exhausted and totally and completely fulfilled. Our first time together engaged would go down in the books as more than memorable.

What an amazing chapter! So many beautiful moments…And so many remarkable spots to speak of…But I’ll restrain myself…My favorite line, I think, was: “I want to know what she’s feeling and what she’s thinking.” To me, that’s a picture of love…wanting to embrace the all of it. Forgiveness is a truly marvelous thing. Not sure I’m making any sense…but…Wonderfully deep storytelling. Thanks, nagster :)

What a wonderful chapter Newage. Having them loving one another so deeply after everything they’ve been through is truly wonderful. Now let’s see what the parents will do, although I think they have learned their lesson and will not be able to find enough ways to be nice and sweet to everyone and besides Angie will talk their heads off after she gets used to them, about a day probably. PPS
how can anyone not feel the love these two have for each other and their friends.hopefully everything will alright with tina and her parents! :)

Yes!!! Glad Bette managed to mumble that word out after recovering from her state of shock. It’s the only apt respone to Tina’s heartfelt proposal. Sooo happy for these two. Loved the gleam in Tina’s eyes when she looked around Dean Porter’s office. I have a feeling they’ll eventually do the deed there; it’s only a matter of time. *wink* If they can make it at the backseat of a cab, they can certainly make it anywhere! Loved the adorable motormouth Angie who must have gotten that trait from Alice through osmosis. Is this the calm before the probable awkward, stormy visit of Tina’s folks? Let’s see how that reunion will play out. Btw, I hope you’re not done with the envelopes yet. There’s so much more about their storied past that I want to find out like when did they decide to live together? What and where was their first love nest? How and when did they decide to have a family? What about their commitment ceremony? Just throwing some ideas. :> Thanks for a truly enjoyable chapter, newagegirl! PPS :>
