#TLW10– But we can take it slow…
“That’s okay Bette I can take care of myself”
“Tee…”
Tina’s heart started to run fast when she heard the brunette uttered the nickname, she held the brunette’s gaze and she could see the unmistakable worry and deep care in those beautiful brown eyes
“Yes?”
“Why don’t you spend the night here, you can sleep in the guestroom”
“Oh Bette that’s okay you shouldn’t worry about me the weather’s not that bad” the blonde said then kissed Angie on the head
“Bye baby…” said the blonde to the little child. She rose to her feet and was about to head for the door when she felt a soft hand on her arm
“Tee you know I couldn’t let you leave under this weather … please stay, at least do it for boo”
Tina smiled but deep inside she chastised herself, how could she ever let go of this woman?
“Okay but I’m not staying only for Angie…”
Bette smiled.
For the next hour they cleaned the table and watched the news to check for recent snowstorm updates they learned that some roads now were blocked and a couple of accidents happened good thing no one was badly hurt. A few minutes later both women tucked little Angelica to bed.
“Are you going to be okay in here?”
The brunette had lent Tina some winter clothes and the blonde was now sitting on the bed in the guest room.
“Yes I’m good thanks”
“You’re welcome”
Tina noticed the worry so evident on the caramel skinned face
“Bette, what’s wrong?”
“Huh? Nothing” the brunette lied
They had been together for eight years and if there was someone who knew Bette best it was none other than her
“Bette something bothers you, I can tell, what is it?”
The brunette sighed, this woman really knew her so well she thought
“The news said that greater part of Los Angeles is now out of electricity and I’m afraid that in just a few hours we will lose power too”
What the brunette said scared her because the portable heater in the house was powered by electricity and if they lose power then it would mean no heater as well… and she knew they could die in the cold.
