    The brunette was in the kitchen cooking dinner when her sister called

    “Kit you know I can’t promise anything…” said the tired brunette then looked at the baby monitor. Bette smiled when she saw her three year old daughter Angelica dancing as the little girl watched her favorite Disney cartoon.

    Just like the previous days, today had been another long day at the California University since she just started as a dean three months ago and there were still a lot of things she had to do to fulfill her promise to Chancellor Phyllis Kroll of bringing modernization to the university.

    “Bette you need to try going out again, you can’t just stuck your nose in work and Angie, not that there’s something wrong about being a doting mother but you’re an attractive and well accomplished woman and you deserve someone to take care of you”

    The brunette sighed; she had been through a lot both personally and professionally and she was just starting to get her life back together and after all the drama brought by Tina going back to men she thought it’s best not to complicate things.

    “Kit I’m not ready to date yet and besides I’m having a great time being single”

    After that woman who mercilessly flirted with her at the mixer in Tina and Henry’s house two weeks ago and now a student named Nadia Krell who kept on bugging her she thought she didn’t want to get herself in any romantic relationship yet.

    “Are you sure about that?”

    “Kit believe me I’m okay, all I want right now is to focus on my job and Angie that’s it”

    The caramel skinned beauty turned off the stove and glanced at the wall clock, it was quarter before seven in the evening and in just a few minutes Tina would arrive to pick Angie up. She then began readying the table for supper

    “Alright, alright just tell me if you change your mind and I’ll be sure to tell Clarissa”

    Clarissa Thompson was an attractive executive in an advertisement firm who became instantly enamored by the beautiful brunette when she spotted Bette at Kit’s western themed party at The Planet after the brunette left Tina’s mixer with Shane, Alice and Helena.     10. Finally I was able to log in here in the new site yay!! Tina was right Bette looked drop dead gorgeous in that mixer no wonder Tina realized that Bette is still the love of her life. The last part was really sweet… Thanks phacey for joinimg the challenge and Hope to see a new update soon!
