“Well, you’re not in LA yet, you’re not even on the plane. So there’s still time.”
“Kate, like I said, we’re at Heathrow airport, it’s not exactly the right time.”
“Will there ever be a right time?” asked Kate.
“I wanted it to be this grand romantic gesture, where she wouldn’t be able to say no. I want to her to be sure, and to know that it means as much to me as it does to her.”
“Or you could be spontaneous and just say what you feel.”
“I don’t know if I do spontaneous.” replied Bette, not quite believing what Kate was proposing that she should do.
“You could try.”
“You’re serious, aren’t you? You honestly think that I should ask her now.”
“Think about it from Tina’s point of view. She knows that when you get back she’s going to have to answer a lot of questions about why she took you back and what you’ve done to prove that you can be trusted again, so what better way to prove that you’re both committed to each other than for Tina to have that ring back on her finger.”
“I can’t believe I’m even contemplating doing this.”
“Well, you sit there and contemplate because I’m going to see how your woman’s doing.” said Kate, starting to get up.
“No.” said Bette, as she quickly grasped Kate’s arm to stop her.
“So you’re going to do it?” asked Kate.
“Yes, but it’s all your fault if it goes wrong.”
“It won’t. She wants you, and wants you to prove that you want her.”
“I need her.” replied Bette in a determined fashion.
“So go and prove it, once and for all.”
Bette got up from her chair and walked towards where she could see Tina, all the while undoing the clasp so that she could get the ring off of the chain. Bette safely deposited the ring in her pocket, before Tina looked up to smile at her.
“Hey babe.” said Tina, noting the look of determination on Bette’s face.
“T, I need to talk to you about something and I know it’s not really the right time, what with us just about to get on a plane, but it can’t wait. I can’t wait.”

OMG so sweet! I teared up like the sap I am. lol And I feel Bette’s pain with regards to the alarm. Many times I want to chuck my clock across the room in the mornings. =p

Great chapter – but It does beg the question will they make it without their facilitator? maybe they’ll have to fly Kate over to be their coach.

CG, That was another extraordinary moment beautifully written in Bette and Tina’s life together. There was a sense of resolution and completing the cycle as Bette slipped the ring onto Tina’s finger. Great chapter mate, I think Bette can do spontaneous, she just has to have a know that when it come down to Tina, she wants her so much that the possibility of rejection stops her being spontaneous – she’ll get to know that its the right thing to do. Confident Porter is back… Great, loved it.
