The Roommates – Fast Forward to 2019: Chapter 30

The same Shane that had supplied the drugs to Sidney.
Bette slammed her cup down on the counter before rage steered her feet in Shane’s direction. The thin woman looked up at her with a smile of recognition. The smile faded when she saw the anger in Bette’s eyes. Bette didn’t stop for pleasantries or to ask any questions.
She dove straight at Shane, slapping her with an open-handed back-slap.
“Shit!” Shane exclaimed, as she lost her balance and her chair fell back on the floor.
“Bette!” yelled Max.
Bette jumped on Shane, straddling her, pummeling her with her hands. “You bitch! Stay the fuck away from me. And my family.”
Max was struggling to pull Bette away. “Bette! Cool it! Let her go!”
All of the pent-up anger and rage she’d felt at Sidney came pouring out of her. Shane tried to shield her face with her hands, but Bette just moved around them. Shane’s left eye was closed, and her lips were bloodied. Her nose looked crooked.
Max finally pulled a swinging Bette Porter from Shane’s crumpled body. As she moved away, the tan woman spit on the drug dealer and kicked her in the abdomen.
“Bette! Enough!” Max yelled.
Bette looked at him, her eyes filled with fury. “Do you know what she is? What she does? Sidney almost died because of this bitch. She’s lucky she gets to walk out of here.”
Max had no idea what was going on. He held up his hands, breathing heavily from his attempt to restrain Bette. “I don’t want any problems. Just calm down.”
Bette was furious. “Calm down?” she yelled and then she went to attack Shane again.
Max was ready this time and held her back. “Calm the fuck down!” He pushed her slightly. Max yelled for help and two of his staff came to pull Bette away. She allowed herself to be led away from Shane, but she walked backward, never taking her eyes off the woman who still lay in a heap on the floor.
“Jesus!” said Max. He bent down to attend to Shane.
One of the servers knew the police had been called. She’d always liked Bette. Bette had always been nice to her and she tipped well. She leaned down and whispered to Bette that she needed to leave before pushing a takeout bag into her hand and handing her the cold iced coffee.

Wow….Bette has a real temper. Attacking Shane at the Planet is rather troubling. Is this a residual effect of the attack she received from Sidney? Violent behavior is never a good thing regardless of the reason or motivation. Bette needs more than therapy to stay sober, she needs a bit of anger management treatment as well.
Great chapter…..looking forward to more.
A hard Chapter to read.
Glad Bette’s getting help.
Thanks for posting, please post more soon.

Thank you!
I’m must say that i liked how Bette resolved Shane’s problem in Planet. Sure gave her the cops would be better (can’t Tasha help?) but this was not bad also.
Waiting for the next!
Great chapter shows Bette has a breaking point even if it was directed at the wrong person. Shane’s just a supplier she didnt force them down anyone throat. The real person she mad at is Sidney. And so she will have to deal with Tina and her life. Hope therapy helps before she get to that point. Thank you
Thanks for posting!
Somehow I think that Shane might not be supplier but one of her employees.
Bette’s therapist seems to be the right choice. I like the way Naomi works with Bette and I still hope that Bette will open up and tell her about the rape.
Could her attorney be the right one for Tina as well? Someone who finds a glitch in Tina’s prenuptial? I like the idea that Harry has an affair – or more than one – for some time now. Would be fun to watch Papa Kennard’s face when H admits it.
