(The return of) Love’s Calling – 4: Connecting The Pieces

After several long minutes she decided to call it a night. When she walked
outside she couldn’t help but look along the street and the parking lot for
some sign of Tina but she soon realized that she was wasting her time and
headed for her car and then headed for home.

Tina practically took off in a sprint until she entered her car, taking refuge.
She sat in silence, with only the sound of her rapid breathing and rapidly
pulsing heartbeat filling the emptiness. Tina shook her head trying to clear
her head and trying to shake off the feelings she had been feeling since the
moment she fell in to Bette’s arms and looked in to her eyes. She starts her
car and begins her journey home; amazed she can navigate through West Hollywood
when a million thoughts consumed her mind at once.

Tina thought that by leaving the restaurant she could escape from her thoughts
of Bette but as she drives she begins to think back on the evening with Bette.
In her mind she replayed everything that had happened and the conversation that
had taken place. Several things Bette had said slowly echo in her mind.

Tina recalls when her heel slid on the pavement, causing her to fallbut Bette
was there to catch her. She remembers thanking Bette and then hears Bette’s
answer, “It’s not everyday a beautiful woman falls into my arms.”

‘Am I losing it?’ Tina wonders. She had to admit to herself that Bette had
reaffirmed the feelings that were coursing through her body all evening when
she had whispered, “Is it just me ordo you feel something too?”

Tina vaguely remembers that Bette was trying to explain something. ‘What was
she saying?’ Tina is trying desperately to focus. “TinaI think I might just be
the person you have been waiting for.”

Tina is trying to make sense of the evening, but she is unable to get her mind
to function but she can’t seem to because all thoughts lead back to herBette.
‘What is going on here?’ Tina thinks. Before she realized what was happening,
Tina looks at her surroundings and notices she’s on her way back to the
    restaurant.

As Tina is walking in towards the restaurant she is thinking ‘I have to hear
    her out’

As she enters the restaurant, Antonio is there to greet her.
