Bette: Hey, Alice! Wait up! I’ll be right back.

Bette excuses herself from her seat and heads for the exit and Alice. They meet outside The Planet.

Bette: Alice!

Alice stops and turns, looking at Bette.

Alice: Yeah?

Bette: Are you okay?

Alice: Yeah, I’m great! Why?

Bette: Nobody’s said anything. We all know that you’ve been
through a lot and you’ve probably grieved more than anyone else over
Dana, but….I just want to make sure you’re not putting yourself in a
bind.

Alice’s happy spirits begin to lower.

Alice: What do you mean…?

Bette: Look. We all love you very much, Alice. None of us
want you to be hurt…and that’s why no one’s said anything. But
Alice….Lara?

Alice: I know, Bette, I know… I know what you’re thinking.

Bette: Alice…I want you to think about what you’re doing here.
Okay, this isn’t just another rebound girlfriend you’re with.

Alice’s voice now begins to sharpen.

Alice: No, Bette it’s not. And I know some of you guys might not
understand, but you know what? Me and Lara do.

Bette: …I’m just worried that this isn’t going to end too well.

Alice: I appreciate your concern, Bette. But this is the happiest
I’ve been in a long time. And it’s the happiest Lara’s been in a
long time, too.

Bette: Alice, you’re a deeply caring individual. And I’m sure
Lara is, too. But…what happens when you fight? What
happens when Dana’s brought up? How do you deal with that?
How do you deal with that relationship? How do you deal with the
fact that you both had very intimate relationships with her before she
died? You need to think about these-

Alice: We have…Bette.

Alice walks closer to Bette as the two are face to face.

Alice: Me and Lara have poured our souls out to each other and we came
out of it even closer. And we’re in love now. I know it
comes off weird and I don’t expect you to understand it right
away. But please understand, she’s the one person I completely
trust myself and my body to now. And we’re not about to give that
up just because some of our friends might find it a little strange at
first.

Bette: The only thing I understand is that I don’t want you getting yourself hurt.

Alice: I’m not going to, Bette. For the first time in my life, I
actually believe in something despite living in this fucked up World.

Bette: Just be careful.

Alice: I am, Bette. I gotta get to the radio station…

Alice and Bette hug for a brief moment and then Alice departs.
Soon enough, The Planet closes up its daytime hours in preperation for
its transformation into a nightclub for the evening. Everyone
heads for their destinations for the evening. And while Leigh and
Carmen’s bodies continue to get better acclimated with one another,
Shane sits among her friends at home. Max, Helena and Jenny are
all there with Shane in the kitchen talking away, but Shane’s mind
wonders back to the sight of Carmen with Leigh and it pierces at her
like a demon’s horns brushing up against her conscience.
