Carmen turns around and sees the table with everyone else,
talking. Leigh turns around as well and notices Helena looking
on. Leigh waves and Helena smiles back.
Leigh: That’s a good idea, let’s go say hi!
Carmen looks at Leigh.
Leigh: C’mon.
Leigh smiles and pulls Carmen with her by the arm. Leigh and Carmen walk arm and arm over to the table.
Leigh: Hello.
Jenny: Hey, Carmen.
Max: ‘Sup, ladies.
Carmen: Just hanging out, y’know? Talking with Kit…making sure I can still work here. All that stuff.
Alice: So you still get to work here, right?
Carmen: Yep!
Lara: That’s awesome, Carmen.
Bette looks over at Shane, who appears uncomfortable. Tina notices Bette suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
Bette: So what brings you by over here, Carmen?
Carmen: Um…just wanted to say hi.
Carmen’s laughter is almost out of nerves herself. Everyone tries
to ignore the tension, but now it’s beginning to thicken. Things
go quiet for a moment, which is then interrupted by the ringing of
Helena’s cellphone. Helena answers.
Helena: Hello?
……………………………………….. Yes, it is.
…………. Well, the price I’m loo-….how much?
………………………………………………………
A smile comes across Helena’s face.
Helena: I would be more than happy to.
……………………………………………………………………………….
Yes, tomorrow would be great.
……………………………………………………………….
Alright, I’ll see you then. ‘Bye.
Helena hangs up her cellphone.
Helena: It appears I may have a serious buyer.
Tina: That’s great, Helena.
Helena: I’ll be meeting him tomorrow morning, giving him a tour.
Lara: Well, I hope it goes well for you.
Carmen: Is it someone famous?
Helena: He said he was independent filmmaker.
Alice: Pffttt, heheh, yeah. Aren’t they all in this town…?
There’s some laughter with the group, but everyone notices Lara and Alice still holding hands. Alice looks at her watch.
Alice: Shit. I gotta go, guys. Gotta prepare for my show tonight.
Alice stands and Lara stands as well.
Lara: You need me to go with you?
Alice: I’ll be alright.
The smiling between the two is almost permanent it seems.
Lara: Okay.
Lara pulls away, but Alice pulls her in closer.
Alice: Hey….it’s okay.
Alice kisses Lara sweetly on the lips.
Alice: Love you…
Lara: Love you…
Everyone watches on, the intrigue growing with each passing
second. Max downs the rest of his beverage. Alice begins
walking towards the exit.

All is happy except for Shane. I hope that she and Carmen can come to an understanding or Shane can move forward. But she is so much like Bette in so many ways. Just as Bette was/is unable to move forward from Tina, Shane is unable to move forward from Carmen. I hope that Bette and Tina can be there for Shane when she needs it the most.
arman should at least say Hi to Shane Payback is hell tho.and Carman is give Shane hell. Just hope that Keigh doesnt get hurt in the deal. thanks
Aww I forgot something. I still can´t believe that Carmen even don´t wanna notice Shane at the planet, I mean she even didn´t take a look at her. What´s going on in her mind???
Gosh..I feel so sad for Shane. Isn´t there a way to get her back together with Carmen? I don´t wanna see her down the road. great update!
Very sad for Shane. Hope Carmen is not thinking about making a relationship w/ Leigh permanent, she should be a f*ck buddy & thats it. Carmens not ready for anything more.
I have been reading all your chapters of this story and I must say that you have these characters down really good. I really like the journey you have taken us on so far. So keep going and post again soon.
