    Shane is haunted by Carmen being with Leigh. The group discusses trying to figure out who could help Kit manage The Planet. Bette talks with Alice about Alice’s relationship with Lara.

    Things slowly begin to get back to some sense of normalcy in West
    Hollywood. Or at least as normal as things can be. Shane’s
    back at work at Wax, trying to get through her day without thinking of
    all that’s gone down. It’s hard to do however as she thinks of
    New Year’s Eve and seeing out of the corner of her eye, Carmen
    appearing to move on right away with another woman. With each
    customer she services in her barber’s chair, Shane tries to think of
    simply doing her job or if all else fails, something nice happening
    with her friends. Bette and Tina working out their
    problems. Helena being supportive. Alice possibly finding
    happiness, even if it’s with Lara of all people. But it all winds
    up going back to seeing Carmen with someone else.

    While Shane can’t get Carmen out of her mind in spite of her efforts,
    Carmen works through trying to get Shane out of her mind, awaking in
    Leigh’s arms and giving Leigh a nice wake up kiss. The kiss
    becomes more and what was slumber becomes something more sensual.
    Under the covers, Carmen and Leigh explore each others’ bodies.
    Carmen has to keep her eyes open however while making love. Her
    eyes want to make sure she’s moving on.

    The day passes through and Shane’s taken care of her
    appointments. She checks out of Wax and heads for The Planet in
    the hopes of just getting away from herself.

    The Planet is experiencing the rush of late afternoon patrons, many of
    which are finishing their own workdays. Shane arrives and sees
    her friends gathered at one of the tables. Everyone there’s done
    with their workday except for Alice who’s unwinding before heading off
    to KCRW for her airshift. Helena, Jenny and Lara have all
    finished their day of work at The Planet, which for Helena involved
    figuring out the fine art of waiting tables.

    Shane: Hey guys, what’s up?

    Tina: Hey, Shane!

    Bette: We are in the process of trying to help Kit find a new manager for The Planet.

    Shane: What happened to that Billie dude?

    Bette: He’s back in Europe and I have a feeling Kit wouldn’t be interested in hiring him back.

    Max: We haven’t figured out a good choice yet.

    1. All is happy except for Shane. I hope that she and Carmen can come to an understanding or Shane can move forward. But she is so much like Bette in so many ways. Just as Bette was/is unable to move forward from Tina, Shane is unable to move forward from Carmen. I hope that Bette and Tina can be there for Shane when she needs it the most.

    3. Aww I forgot something. I still can´t believe that Carmen even don´t wanna notice Shane at the planet, I mean she even didn´t take a look at her. What´s going on in her mind???

    4. Gosh..I feel so sad for Shane. Isn´t there a way to get her back together with Carmen? I don´t wanna see her down the road. great update!

    5. Very sad for Shane. Hope Carmen is not thinking about making a relationship w/ Leigh permanent, she should be a f*ck buddy & thats it. Carmens not ready for anything more.

    6. I have been reading all your chapters of this story and I must say that you have these characters down really good. I really like the journey you have taken us on so far. So keep going and post again soon.
