“You show him the bedroom and his crib – I need some water “
Bette handed him to Tina and went into the kitchen. She saw all the little touches that were new. The flowers in a vase, the fridge full of all her favourite foods, on the shelf above the fridge was a photograph that Alice had taken in the hospital . It was of Tina holding Danny and Bette holding Tina – the family Kennard Porter
Bette walked through to the bedroom and smiled. Tina was sitting on the edge of the bed holding Danny and just smiling
“Has that smile left your face yet ? “
“No – and I don’t expect it will – I am so happy Bette . He is lovely and so is his very wonderful mother “
“Let him get used to his crib Tina “
Tina nodded and got up with Danny and with great care she lowered him into his crib after kissing him a few times. She stood looking at him for a few minutes . She felt two arms wrap around her and Bette snuggled into her back.
“You okay babe ? “
“Very happy “
“This is nice “
“Just looking at him sleep ? “
“That and not having a big bump that stops me getting so close to you. “
Bette softly kissed Tina’s neck and traced a familiar path with her tongue
“Motherhood hasn’t silenced that libido of your has it Porter “
“And you didn’t totally dig me when I got out of the car and you saw my figure for the first time ?” Bette retorted .
“Aren’t you tired or something ? “ Tina said laughing
“Yeah – lets go and lie down “
“On the sofa only “ Tina instructed “ I am going to look after my woman and that means rest “
“Fine by me – we’ve messed around on that sofa a lot – got a lot of memories has that sofa — oh and a lot of stains too “

That little hiatus has done you good. This chapter was excellent. I like this Bette. She knows what she needs from Tina to nourish her body and soul. It is far better to have Daniel in his crib so they can find time to reconnect physically and spiritually w/each other.

When a baby gets use to sleeping with you.its a hard thing to break. Tina is so in love with Danny,that is so easy to do.You fall in love at first sight.and stay that way until you are no longer on this earth. Thamks so much for two. and Cong on 200.Enjoed each one of them thanks
200th for Ally! I’m celebrating by making myself a gin martini, shaken not stirred, dirty, with 3 olives. CHEERS! Love your story and I was beside myself when I saw a DOUBLE posting, so I guess, I’ll have to drink a double. CHEERS again!
Daniel in his own crib is a good start to getting their family back together. So Tina is having twins and hopefully not Henry’s child. They do make a beaufiful couple and their kids are going to break a number of hearts.
I am suddenly reminded of “Lady and the Tramp” when Lady wanted to sleep in the bed. Jim Dear finally gave in and said, “But just for tonight.” Cut to Lady no longer being a puppy. lol

Congratulations on #200 AllyE and I’ve loved every one of them. This chapter was so sweet and endearing with them showing their love for each other even with the little blips they encounter. Bette was right though abouthim sleeping in his own bed. When little ones get used to sleeping with you it is almost impossible to get them to stay in their beds alone. When you have them in bed with you they will never stay in the spot you put them in, they will roll right up against you, that why some unfortunate things happens to babies in bed with adults. It is best to leave them in their own beds. Great chapter.

First of all I want to say Congrats on your 200th post. Just as I think you have outdone yourself, you write a chapter like this one. If the next few are like this one then you are going to turn me into a big old cry baby. Just want to add one more thing—Ally it’s not nice to laugh and an old lady when she cries. But even though you do I still consider you my best friend honey.
