“Babe, you had breakfast with your ex this morning.”
“I know, Tina I know. When I am rational I get it.”
“Ok. But baby, I need you to not shut me out when you’re not rational. We both react so quickly, we need to give each other time to respond.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t take your calls. I’m working on it ok?”
“It’s not just you, it’s me too, but we’re both working on it… we’ll get there.”
“Will we? We can’t seem to stop fighting Tee. I thought if I flew up here, and we saw each other and talked, we would be able to get past that, but even when I’m here…”
“I know, but there’s a lot going on Bette, we’re in this new relationship, and it’s just starting and usually that means all we want to do is lay in bed for days but we can’t because this new relationship is also a long distance thing, and it’s also on the back of both of us leaving our girlfriends and me transferring to a new city and organising my work and my life for a move and… there’s just a lot of other stuff going on…” Tina moved to sit next to Bette, taking the brunette’s hand in hers.
“But I am so glad you’re here, seeing you makes me feel… so amazing Bette. And that you came all the way to surprise me, to work on us? That makes me feel so special, so loved, so lucky” Tina kissed Bette’s hand then dropped it into her lap as she took the brunette’s face in hers and gingerly moved in for a kiss.
“Forgiven me?” Tina asked once they moved apart.
“On the condition that you have forgiven me” Bette smiled in return.
“Deal. How long do I have you for?”
Bette’s smile broadened at Tina’s question.
“Until Sunday night”
Tina’s eyes widened in surprise.
“You took the week off?”
“Well the next 3 days yes, so I’m all yours for 5 nights and 5 days” Bette grinned wickedly. Tina lifted herself up and leaned over to straddle Bette’s lap, crushing her lips in a kiss, smiling as she felt Bette moan into her mouth.
“Let’s move this inside shall we?” Tina whispered into Bette’s ears, taking the opportunity to lick the line of her lovers mocha neck. Bette whimpered in response and Tina laughed, lifting herself off Bette’s lap and pulling Bette up with her. Tina reached for her keys to let themselves in but found herself being spun around and pinned to the door, Bette’s hips grinding against hers as the brunette’s lips claimed the blonde’s neck.

I am so happy that this story has returned! Bette definitely needs to find a way to support Tina through this lonely transitional period. It seems as though this was definitely a good start! I hope we learn about what happens during the next four days – so much time to explore one another’s likes and dislikes in detail. PPS!
I am glad that Bette didn’t take off and that she is recognizing what she is feeling. Tina and Bette sharing their issues and wanting to work on things is AWESOME! A little makeup and I miss you sex, WHOO-EE! I hope that the girls find a way to spend some time together over the next few weeks.

Glad that Bette and Tina were able to discuss the issue of having dinner with Sam. It is pretty nice when the woman you love is still waiting for you even after a blunder.

You wrote about the awkwardness between Sam and Tina and the swirling emotions in both Bette and Tina and their internal dialogue and questions quite well. I’m so glad Bette didn’t rush back to LA and that Tina cut the evening short and came home to find her. I think Bette should talk to her assistant and find a way to be there for Tee so she won’t be lonely and she’ll be able to get all her work done faster. Then back to LA to start a new life. PPS
