Reunions Reunite: The way we were, chapter 2

    Eric and Tina…

    Tina and Eric…

Had she so quickly stepped away from that, that now the sound of those names together sounded surreal?

The wince had been short, and maybe the brunette would have missed it if she’d had blinked…

Maybe she would have missed it if they hadn’t had that special connection…

Maybe she would have missed it if she hadn’t loved Tina that much…

But for Bette, the clenching of the blonde’s jaw couldn’t have been clearer if someone had shone neon-lights on it to draw her attention…

    Hey…

Sweetness, caring, sympathy, love… It all laid in that one syllable the brunette uttered softly, and a wave of warm memories caused the other woman to look up…

A meeting of gazes, evoking feelings so strong, they caused each of the two strongly pounding hearts to stop momentarily…

    Oh Bette…

The pain, so clearly visible in the light hazel eyes, caused the brunette to inhale sharply…

    I’ve left him…

The hazeleyed woman looked away, oblivious to the effect her words had on the woman before her, struggling to restrain her raging emotions.

    Oh Bette… I’m so sorry…

Tears threatened to overflow the hazel eyes that Bette Porter was losing herself into, the light feeling in her body, caused by the grazing fingertips on her face, turned into a heavy pounding…

    Of hurt…

    Of hope…

    Of love…

    I’m so so sorry…

One tear started to find its way over the blonde’s cheek as she whispered the apoligy she had kept hidden in her heart for so long… Biting her lip, she didn’t see the hesitance in the gestures of the woman who loved her more then anything in the world.

    You were right… You’ve always b…

In a smooth swift, a slender, soft finger was placed across the blondes full lips, preventing her to finish to that sentence. A shiver ran up and down her spine, as Bette started to push her gently backwards, out of the crowd that was still rapidly growing. Their eyes were again in what seemed to be the tightest embrace either of them had ever experienced.

Carefully the brunette lead her best friend out of the auditorium, and the instant Tina had felt the soft pressure, she had surrendered fully… As they reached the place after the lockers, that had years ago been replaced for new ones, where they used to hide out and talk, the blonde smiled with recognition. The fingertip still lingering against her lips, giving her the strangest feeling in her stomach, Tina sat down, pulling her friend with her into the little corner that was formed by the sides of two lockers, hiding them from scanning eyes…

    Please don’t say you’re sorry, T… I…

With a sudden realization, the heartbroken blonde saw the pain in the brown eyes, the pain and, strange enough, the fear…

I am the one who should be sorry…

    2. Your back ground on Tina was so sad. Abuse young life. a two-timing husband.yet a bright light Her Bette. Well done my young friend. Loved it thanks

    3. It took me forever to get through the chapter. 1.) It was tough. Nothing light and fluffy about it. A great chapter as always, but still tough and 2.) I got held up chatting with someone. LMAO Two shitty men in Tina’s life. =( PPS!

    4. Wow…the chapter certainly was a hard one to read due to it’s nature. However, it was perfectly written and well done!! Again…got me hooked! Have a good one!

    5. Excellent writing as usual. Very descriptive and VERY moving. It can take alot out of a writer when delving into areas of life that are so dark and deep. Thank you for sharing your talent and for putting as much time in as you do to prepare a fabulous piece of work. BRAVO! Oh yeah, and MORE!!!! :-)))

    6. The hurt that Tina felt due to her father must have been unbearable. To watch her mother go through what she did and know that there was really nothing that she could do to help her mother must have been very painful. Then to have the one person that could take that pain away even if it was for a few seconds to be there to catch you helps to make one continue to move forward in the walk of life. Both are sorry about something and I wonder if they can put that aside and rebuild their friendship. Of course their relationship is more than just friendship.

    7. Damn this is so good. Sad for Tina, is hurt to see that happen to Tina, is good that Bette was there to comforting her.Don’t know what happen that they are not see or be with each other but hope now its time for B&T have a start and a happy life together. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    8. You did such an amazing job of balancing the really hard to read with the absolutely breathtakingly wonderful bits. The connection between the two of them is amazing, and I LOVE how you’re setting this up. Fantastic, as always!

    9. hello my friend! (blushing!) like i told you before it was a wondeful week! thanks so much for everything! the worst part was said goodbye i never think that it was so hard! this chapter was great, with a lot of emotions, Tina have been living through a lot of hards things but it so good that Bette was with her comforting her, the connection between them it’s so magical don’t you think? now i am courious why Bette is sorry? wonderful chapter i hope that you feel better for the next one. i enjoy so much this and i am missing you so much

    10. Excellent chapter per usual hun!! I guess thats what i love about your writing, no matter what the content, sad or happy the emotion is so very strong.. Can’t wait for more (per usual) :)

    11. what? what? Huh? What are they sorry for? Have I missed out some chapters? haha… Oh JLBT… this is so intense. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!! I wish to be there for Tina too when that horrible thing happened. So that Tina wouldn’t be living in guilt and blame herself over her father’s faults. Anyway, I love this chapter and will forever amazed by your writing :D

    12. Everytime I think you could not blow me away even more, you do to a degree that I could have never imagined… OMG J, that was… well, there you go, I can’t even find the words… I don’t know how you manage, but this is just … so… intense! The drama that draw them together, making the connection that more precious and peculiar… Wow! I wish I could say more, but seriously I don’t think I would do justice to my real feelings after reading this… Thanks PIC!
