Reunions Reunite: The way we were, chapter 2

Because when she straightened it out, and wanted to hand it back to the tugging wind, her blurred vision caught something familiar…

But when she had arrived at the reunion that had been announced on that paper that had been destined to cross her path, she had forced herself to stop thinking about the deer-like eyes that had once been her home… Sure that the girl she had always kept calling her best friend wouldn’t remember the vow they had taken so long ago, and even if she did remember, the things that had happened would prevent her from fulfilling it…

But here she was, facing the gorgeous brunette in front of her, the intensity of the emotions those eyes evoked… She wanted to hide out in those arms forever… She felt the safety of the chocolatebrown eyes surrounding her, but, her hand lingering on the other woman’s soft cheek, guilt overwhelmed her…

She tried to push them away, laughing unnaturaly as she bit her lip…

I was just thinking about that day… That first day at the beach… Do you remember?

Bette merely nodded, feeling how the blonde was reluctant to show her true feelings… Were those things that had been said so many years ago still haunting them? But then again, could they just get passed them?

Now that her first worry –the thought that maybe Tina wouldn’t show up- had proven to be untrue, the second hit her hard… What if they couldn’t get passed what had happened that dreadfull night, the last night they had seen eachother, 13 years 38 weeks and 2 days ago…

    Off course I remember, T…

The softness and warmth in the mature voice of her best friend, brought Tina on the verge of tears, tears she hastily swallowed away, avoiding the brown orbs in fromt of her…

Who was it? The one you heard, mention my name in the hallway?

The question was rather a way to find distraction than a genuin interest, and as Tina thought she had bought herself some time for the inevitable to happen, trying to gain control over her breathing, Bette softly answered:

    It was Eric…

The blonde felt the wrenching of her face at the mention of that name, the name that, so long, had been said in one breath with her own…

    2. Your back ground on Tina was so sad. Abuse young life. a two-timing husband.yet a bright light Her Bette. Well done my young friend. Loved it thanks

    3. It took me forever to get through the chapter. 1.) It was tough. Nothing light and fluffy about it. A great chapter as always, but still tough and 2.) I got held up chatting with someone. LMAO Two shitty men in Tina’s life. =( PPS!

    4. Wow…the chapter certainly was a hard one to read due to it’s nature. However, it was perfectly written and well done!! Again…got me hooked! Have a good one!

    5. Excellent writing as usual. Very descriptive and VERY moving. It can take alot out of a writer when delving into areas of life that are so dark and deep. Thank you for sharing your talent and for putting as much time in as you do to prepare a fabulous piece of work. BRAVO! Oh yeah, and MORE!!!! :-)))

    6. The hurt that Tina felt due to her father must have been unbearable. To watch her mother go through what she did and know that there was really nothing that she could do to help her mother must have been very painful. Then to have the one person that could take that pain away even if it was for a few seconds to be there to catch you helps to make one continue to move forward in the walk of life. Both are sorry about something and I wonder if they can put that aside and rebuild their friendship. Of course their relationship is more than just friendship.

    7. Damn this is so good. Sad for Tina, is hurt to see that happen to Tina, is good that Bette was there to comforting her.Don’t know what happen that they are not see or be with each other but hope now its time for B&T have a start and a happy life together. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    8. You did such an amazing job of balancing the really hard to read with the absolutely breathtakingly wonderful bits. The connection between the two of them is amazing, and I LOVE how you’re setting this up. Fantastic, as always!

    10. Excellent chapter per usual hun!! I guess thats what i love about your writing, no matter what the content, sad or happy the emotion is so very strong.. Can’t wait for more (per usual) :)

    11. what? what? Huh? What are they sorry for? Have I missed out some chapters? haha… Oh JLBT… this is so intense. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!! I wish to be there for Tina too when that horrible thing happened. So that Tina wouldn’t be living in guilt and blame herself over her father’s faults. Anyway, I love this chapter and will forever amazed by your writing :D

    12. Everytime I think you could not blow me away even more, you do to a degree that I could have never imagined… OMG J, that was… well, there you go, I can’t even find the words… I don’t know how you manage, but this is just … so… intense! The drama that draw them together, making the connection that more precious and peculiar… Wow! I wish I could say more, but seriously I don’t think I would do justice to my real feelings after reading this… Thanks PIC!
