Reunions reunite: The way we were, chapter 2

It had been tears that had woken Tina Kennard that morning, cold tears of loneliness as she’d been torn away from the safety of her dream. She had tried so hard to push back the heartwrenching memory of those deep brown eyes, feeling the stinging pain of loss and guilt, but in the subconsciousness of her sleep, the emotions, those eyes had always evoked, floated to the surface. Absentmindedly, she had gotten out of bed and when she was slowly brushing her hair, she caught her own eyes in the mirror. She gasped, her face wincing in pain before she hastily looked away.

Her whole life had been such a lie…

The neverending stream of tears made their ways down her cheeks, tantalizingly slow, and a desparate feeling washed over the blonde, as she realized whiping them would never solve her problems.

Dropping the hairbrush, her hand lingered to her lower abdomen, the palm of it covering the part where her woomb was hidden… That empty, empty place that would never contain life…

The image, etched… ingraved into her memory, of Eric with that woman…

    How could he?

And yet, had she ever been worth more?

Did she love him as a wife should love her husband?

    Had she ever?

And didn’t the stinging pain that rushed through her have more to do with the heartache of her childlessness then with him?

Was it more the shame, the utter hurt that she was, -what a cliche- the last to know, the last to see? More that then the pain of his betrayal?

Hadn’t she always known what he was like?

She had worn the mask of perfect housewife for so many years now that when she tried to take it off she felt vulnurable and bare, the feeling hiting her harsly that, she had no idea how to be herself anymore.

And all that drifted to the surface when she tried to grasp a point in life where she had been herself, were those amazing dark eyes that had surrounded her with safety.

Were it her surroundings, back in her old room that brought her memories back to her highschooldays?

    3. It took me forever to get through the chapter. 1.) It was tough. Nothing light and fluffy about it. A great chapter as always, but still tough and 2.) I got held up chatting with someone. LMAO Two shitty men in Tina’s life. =( PPS!

    4. Wow…the chapter certainly was a hard one to read due to it’s nature. However, it was perfectly written and well done!! Again…got me hooked! Have a good one!

    5. Excellent writing as usual. Very descriptive and VERY moving. It can take alot out of a writer when delving into areas of life that are so dark and deep. Thank you for sharing your talent and for putting as much time in as you do to prepare a fabulous piece of work. BRAVO! Oh yeah, and MORE!!!! :-)))

    6. The hurt that Tina felt due to her father must have been unbearable. To watch her mother go through what she did and know that there was really nothing that she could do to help her mother must have been very painful. Then to have the one person that could take that pain away even if it was for a few seconds to be there to catch you helps to make one continue to move forward in the walk of life. Both are sorry about something and I wonder if they can put that aside and rebuild their friendship. Of course their relationship is more than just friendship.

    7. Damn this is so good. Sad for Tina, is hurt to see that happen to Tina, is good that Bette was there to comforting her.Don’t know what happen that they are not see or be with each other but hope now its time for B&T have a start and a happy life together. Ok post soon please, thanks!

    8. You did such an amazing job of balancing the really hard to read with the absolutely breathtakingly wonderful bits. The connection between the two of them is amazing, and I LOVE how you’re setting this up. Fantastic, as always!

    10. Excellent chapter per usual hun!! I guess thats what i love about your writing, no matter what the content, sad or happy the emotion is so very strong.. Can’t wait for more (per usual) :)

    11. what? what? Huh? What are they sorry for? Have I missed out some chapters? haha… Oh JLBT… this is so intense. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!! I wish to be there for Tina too when that horrible thing happened. So that Tina wouldn’t be living in guilt and blame herself over her father’s faults. Anyway, I love this chapter and will forever amazed by your writing :D

    12. Everytime I think you could not blow me away even more, you do to a degree that I could have never imagined… OMG J, that was… well, there you go, I can’t even find the words… I don’t know how you manage, but this is just … so… intense! The drama that draw them together, making the connection that more precious and peculiar… Wow! I wish I could say more, but seriously I don’t think I would do justice to my real feelings after reading this… Thanks PIC!
