    The one where Angie discovers snow

    “Go away “

    “Wake up – come on sleepy head “

    “Go away “ Angie repeated sounding more like Tina than she knew.

    Angie opened her eyes and looked at her mother
    “What ?”

    “Hello darling “

    “Hello “

    “Hello Boo “

    “Hello Bette “

    “Can you guess what is different about today ?” Tina asked

    “No “

    “Look outside “ Bette suggested

    Angie sat up and looked outside. It was amazing how suddenly Angie could wake up – it was like someone had flicked a switch

    “SNOW ! “

    “Yeah “ Bette confirmed as the little girl leapt up and hurried to the window.

    “Wow – look at it “

    Bette looked at Tina who walked across to join them at the window. It was good that they lived so high up because it gave them an excellent view of the biggest and most beautiful snow flakes. New York was waking up to find it was being slowly buried in a white blanket. Bette knew the beauty would only last for so long before the fumes turned the snow grey. But in places like Central Park the snow would show it at its most beguiling. Which was why they were probably heading over there as soon as Angie stopped staring at the snow and demanded to be allowed to go and play in it .

    “Its beautiful “ Angie declared after staring at the flakes for several minutes

    “It is also cold and wet “ Tina said

    “I don’t care – can we go out and look at it “

    “Well I thought a nice warm breakfast might be a good idea – before we get cold everywhere “ Bette suggested

    Angie finally stopped looking at Bette

    “Can we have bacon and scrambled eggs ?”

    “I think that would be a neat idea “ Tina said “So you really want to go and play in that – I thought we might stay in all day and do some lessons”

    “MOMMY ! “ Angie objected

    Tina laughed and picked her daughter up

    “Its okay – I was just being silly – of course we are going to go out and play in the snow “

    “Thank you “

    “I think that the person we should both be thanking is the person who has made us both so welcome here in New York and who has spoilt both of us with presents and has taken care of us when we were both sick and the person who is always going to be around to love us “

    4. That wonderful that Bette is going with Tina, I was hoping she would when Tina first said she had to go to LA. I’m still very surprised that Kit has turned her back on Bette and for what reason. Bette didn’t do anything to harm her when she was there for the wedding, unless helena has said something to Kit. At any rate as Bette said, they can all go to hell. She has her family and that is all that is important. One thing I think they should do is tell Angie that Bette is her mother before they go to LA or someone, (Alice), might do it for them. Thanks for posting one of my very favorite stories.
