    Three doors close…only one will open to a new life…

     

    The thought of being away from work and trials and juries, if only for a few days, put a smile on Tina’s face.  Of course, add to that the thought of being away with her girl broadened that smile.

     

    “Will my favorite dessert be on the menu?”

     

    “I’m warming the PMD as we speak, you bad girl.”

     

    “Now that thought will take me through the worst of days…”

    Judge Charlie Morris was a miserable, unhappy man.  His father had always treated him like rotten food, but his mother treated him worse.  She always, always found the time to tell him he was ugly and stupid and she never wanted him in the first place.  Stupid bitch.  Every woman he ever interacted with at some point or another told him the same thing. 

    He made it through college and law school without a problem.  Book learning was just memorization and he had a photographic mind.  No one may have remembered him, but he remembered everything he saw or read.  Even all the drugs he had taken never dulled that ability.  But, today his head felt like he couldn’t remember or recite the simplest nursery rhyme.  Everything was spinning and he couldn’t even walk without teetering.  There was no way he could take the bench this morning.  He’ll make it after lunch…time-wise that is, because no food was staying in his stomach today.

     

    “And won’t all those fuckers be surprised…fuck…damn it!” he growled as he stubbed his toe on his way stumbling toward the bathroom.

     

    “You okay?” the voice from the bed asked.

     

    “Yeah, yeah.  Get the hell out of here.  I feel like crap and you’ve served your purpose.” Morris growled and slammed the bathroom door shut.

    Ann Kennard felt the corners of her mouth turn upwards as she gazed out her bedroom window.  God I am so happy, I could cry…Instead, she placed her hand on the arm wrapped around her and let the grin become a full-fledged smile.  But then her mind’s eye went back decades ago when she was in just this same position…and she recalled how she had sobbed as she said goodbye to this very same person.

    2. I knew Sam was a woman…I was wondering where this story went to. If I was Tina I would have someone tailing me at all times in case that nut job tried to do anything.

    4. Tina’s coming out to her mother brought back all of Ann’s dreams of her own female lover. Ann is lucky that Sam is still very much in love with her. Hopefully Ann will get a chance to help Tina out with getting rid of John once an for all. This trail needs to end soon so that Bette and Tina can begin to live without the fear of being hurt of killed. They need that TLC to strengthen their love for one another.

Love it to bits as Bette and Tina try to exclude the outside worl while it keeps interferring with their lives. Brilliant plotting and dialogue rattle along at a break-neck pace. Fabulous. I thought, okay, we’re gonna be led around for a while before being revealed if it’s a he or a she. So thank you for not making us wait too long. I hope those two will be involved into the whole mystery (in a good way of course), and i’m so looking forward to Tina finding out about her mom! And please, more of B&T loving… PPS
