    My One Special One – Chapter 27

    Who the hell does she think she is?

    At first John just let it go, or he tried to do that.  His immense ego and anger at not being the one in the driver seat kept the little devil whispering in his ear….Who the hell does she think she is? Go find her and get her back…then dump her ass.

    What Tina didn’t know was that John had done legal favors for a lot of people, both the rich and the not so rich, schoolmates and others along the way.  John knew way back that favors someday need to be returned.  So he was mister nice guy several times.   It had paid off many times.   Finding Tina was a cinch.  Of course, her mother helped with the phone number.

    That dumb woman thought I was going to be her son-in-law.  Of course, she wanted me to get back with Tina…although she wasn’t forthcoming with any other information…ah, but that’s where my contacts come into play.    Tina, Tina, no matter where you go, where you live I will find you…

    …and I did.

    * * *

    Pete kept the Motion to Dismiss argument going for a couple hours or truly said, the judge allowed him to go on.  Pete knew this judge was defense oriented and would permit him to talk ad nauseam on the same point.  Tina expected it but her argument against the motion was cogent and sound.  Charlie Morris was arrogant and some would say a bit stupid, but he wasn’t that stupid to grant for all intents and purposes a perfunctory motion by the defense.  The police did their work in this case, the evidence was clear but of course, the decision’s not made until the decision is made.

    As far as the motion was concerned, Tina knew there would be no decision today for one reason…Charlie Morris always held these motions in abeyance.  Everyone and anyone who argued a motion before this judge knew that Ray, his law clerk, would be writing the decision.  Of course, Judge Morris would say he wanted the time to go over the arguments.  What he always said was, “Gentlemen, I’d like some time to go over the arguments.”  Never mattered if Tina was before him or even a female defense attorney, he always said ‘gentlemen.’

    1. Loving that they are getting closer. Also looking forward to Tina’s mother Ann reconnecting with her one true love. I can’t wait to read how that happens. Please don’t let the wait be to long. Tina and Bette need to move in with each other asap.

    2. Ditto! I love this, and this ‘Bette & Tina against the world’ makes it even more delightful! Beautiful how close they are and you give us this feeling that what’s going on out there, whatever scary conspiracy, will never succeed in getting them appart… Please, prove me right! Thanks for a fascinating story!

    3. well i’m glad tina is at bette’s… but did she have to go to her place alone… she’s looking foir something bad to happen… and rick… he gives me the creeps… i hope someone gets him fast… i hope he gets some bad shit… love this story…please continue soon…

    4. Hey Acreextl, I can completely identify with the way life interferes with writing and reading but on to this amazing tale. This story is full of love and mystery along with a large dose of malice. The adoration that Bette and Tina exhibit is awesome; they just complete one another in the most primal and basic sense. The sum of their parts is so much more than the individuals. There is a realistic portrayal of love and passion. It is great to discover that the threat is an old boyfriend of Tina and not someone from the case however John is turning out to be a real piece of work as I am sure he called Ann as part of his devious plan. Just trying to figure out what his endgame will be. As for Ralph, just a big waste of space and am sure that there is a come-uppperance in his near future. Thank you so much for continuing with this must-read story using all of your imitable and twisted mind. Your gratiful and Loyal Fan.

    5. I hope that John makes a mistake and is carted away to spend some time with his buddies, the inmates of some prison. I love this epic for your story telling and soft words of love and life.
