    My One Special One – Chapter 27

    My One Special One – Chapter 27

    Previously…

    Tina woke startled in a dream sweat, but calmed instantly as she felt Bette’s hand on hers.

    “I’m right here, T.  You had a bad dream.  Everything will be all right.”

    Tina closed her eyes; her heart and dream saturated mind once again comforted and eased by Bette’s touch.  Tina knew as long as Bette was beside her everything in her world was right.

    Tina was up and out early the next morning.  There were several phone calls she needed to make.  She wanted to put the final touches to her argument against the defense Motion to Dismiss.  She also wanted to alert people in her office about John.  Tina couldn’t imagine him taking this any further, but he was a man, an angry man at that, with a bruised ego.  She was beginning to think though it had gone beyond that.

    * * *

    John Philip Braxton. never had a desire to practice blue collar criminal law – the poor, downtrodden souls – fuck them.  To him it was the dirty side of justice – dirty people committing dirty crimes.  In his twisted set of values, the rich white collar crooks were just people using the system for what it’s worth; their only mistake was greed.  And that was a good thing for John because he then got to represent them and the product of their greed became hefty checks of deposit only into his account.

    John’s career was waiting for him before he even graduated from law school.  His father, Theodore Braxton, had practiced law for many years in his hometown.  He built his practice up the hard way – long hours and not much sleep.  When John passed the bar exam he was handed keys to his own office and a ready-made list of very wealthy clients.   Fortunately for his father, John was born to be a lawyer.  He was smart and he was ruthless.

    John had no trouble winning in the courtroom or winning in the bedroom.  Whenever the sex turned to becoming a ‘relationship’ he was always the one that made the exit first.  No one dumped John Philip Braxton ….until Tina Kennard.

    1. Loving that they are getting closer. Also looking forward to Tina’s mother Ann reconnecting with her one true love. I can’t wait to read how that happens. Please don’t let the wait be to long. Tina and Bette need to move in with each other asap.

    2. Ditto! I love this, and this ‘Bette & Tina against the world’ makes it even more delightful! Beautiful how close they are and you give us this feeling that what’s going on out there, whatever scary conspiracy, will never succeed in getting them appart… Please, prove me right! Thanks for a fascinating story!

    3. well i’m glad tina is at bette’s… but did she have to go to her place alone… she’s looking foir something bad to happen… and rick… he gives me the creeps… i hope someone gets him fast… i hope he gets some bad shit… love this story…please continue soon…

    4. Hey Acreextl, I can completely identify with the way life interferes with writing and reading but on to this amazing tale. This story is full of love and mystery along with a large dose of malice. The adoration that Bette and Tina exhibit is awesome; they just complete one another in the most primal and basic sense. The sum of their parts is so much more than the individuals. There is a realistic portrayal of love and passion. It is great to discover that the threat is an old boyfriend of Tina and not someone from the case however John is turning out to be a real piece of work as I am sure he called Ann as part of his devious plan. Just trying to figure out what his endgame will be. As for Ralph, just a big waste of space and am sure that there is a come-uppperance in his near future. Thank you so much for continuing with this must-read story using all of your imitable and twisted mind. Your gratiful and Loyal Fan.

    5. I hope that John makes a mistake and is carted away to spend some time with his buddies, the inmates of some prison. I love this epic for your story telling and soft words of love and life.
