Bette immediately stood up from the couch a huge smile across her face.
“I’ll take that as a yes” Shane laughed as she turned back to the phone, “Yes we did, please send her up” Shane said before hanging up the phone. “SO there is a she” Shane teased.
“Shane don’t” Bette warned.
“What? I’m doing nothing. I’m just pointing out yet another one of your conquests. I have to say, this is your first doctor isn’t it?” Shane said walking over and patting Bette on the back.
“Shane please” Bette begged.
“What?” Shane laughed.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door, and Shane smiled at Bette before walking over to open it.
Bette could hear Shane’s muffled conversation on the other side of the door, her heart was thudding within her chest waiting for Tina to step into the room.
“Bette, it’s for you” Shane said pushing the door open a little more to reveal Tina.
“Hello Tina, please come in” Bette smile, extremely happy to see the dentist so soon.
“No Bette. I just came to give you these” Tina said holding the tickets up towards Bette.
“It’s ok, you keep them” Bette smiled again simply assuming Tina was feeling guilty.
“No Bette, I don’t need your charity” Tina said putting the tickets down on the table beside her and walking back down the hallway.
Shane and Bette merely looked at each other, rather confused, before Bette took off after Tina down the hallway.
“Hang on Tina, what’s going on?” Bette said catching up to Tina and gently grabbing her elbow.
Tina quickly spun around to face Bette. “Just because you are rich and famous and I’m just a mere dentist, doesn’t mean I need you feeling sorry for me” Tina said rather harshly.
“Tina, I don’t feel sorry for you” Bette tried to say in defence.
“And just because you are rich and famous doesn’t mean you can wine and dine me just to get me into bed” Tina added.
“I’m not doing that Tina” Bette said as sincerely as possible.
“What? Were you just playing with me then? Making me look like an idiot because I didn’t realize you were some famous person??” Tina said poking Bette on the shoulder.
“No Tina, I wasn’t” Bette replied. “That’s not what I was doing.”
“Then what?” Tina asked, her eyes glossing over with tears. “I’m such an idiot” Tina said turning around and walking towards the elevator.
“Tina wait” Bette said rushing a head and standing in front of the doors.
“What?”
“I…I…” Bette struggled to find the words.
“Never mind” Tina said under her breath as she step around Bette and into the elevator.
Bette could only watch as Tina disappeared behind the silver doors.

Oh my god what crawled up her butt? i hope Alice doesn’t talk her into something stupid before Bette has a chance to explain how refreshing it was to have someone be interested in her and not for who she was for once. pps
I’ve been waiting for an update of this one. Damn, Tina needs to relax. The tickets were kind of a thoughtless gift. Not like Bette went out and got her something.. but still, she had good intentions. Hope they work something out soon. PPS.
Well, since I guess I’m not allowed to say that I love this story… ( pouting ) What can I say ?… I love the fact that Alice is modest enough to actually believe she’s the one who’s stalked and the fact that she gets paranoiac about it ( btw, loved the “Little Miss Popular” joke ). Oh, and Tina definitely has to venture out of her office sometimes !… LOL !! Well, we did learn something pretty interesting about her though, it seems she’s not into men, eh ? … Weird ( lol ! )… As for her rather harsh reaction to Bette’s “invitation”, I must say I’m glad that she still sees a human being in Bette, that she’s a genuine, down to earth person and not completely amazed by everything the star says or does like everyone else. In fact, I’m pretty sure this is part of the appeal in Bette’s eyes. Here is finally someone who’s not impressed at all with her fame and therefore who hopefully is going to have the opportunity the get to know the real person behind the name ; the sweet, sensitive and shy Bette who’s hiding behind the mask of the super selfconfident rockstar. OK, I might be getting a little carried away here. This was only speculation… But I do think Bette must be even more intrigued now than she was by the surprising…dentist, and I believe she hasn’t been quite that taken aback in a loooong time. Now I really wonder how Bette is going to manage to make Tina change her mind about her… But I guess that sooner or later Tina is going to “come to her senses” too and realize she’s been a little unfair by not giving Bette a chance to explain, and also see that she may have “slightly” overreacted. LOL ! Now, one question stands supreme : where the “L” has the shy stalker gone ?

Ok, Tina doesn’t believe in letting someone talk does she (lol). Where does she come up with all these conclusions? She got a lot of apologizing to do.
Boy, Tina sure does have her bloomers up in a knot. Where does she draw her conclusions from. I say someone goes through all the trouble to fix your toilet and she thinks she is being made an idiot of. Great post. really enjoying the s/l

Ah yes, your Tina certainly is a complicated woman. She’ll accept the ‘charity’ of toilet repair, but not the tickets? (Has she priced out plumbers (and toilets) recently? The tix are probably cheaper …)
Well didn’t we get our panties all in a knot. Maybe she’s more upset because she feels so out of it not knowing who Bette was. I do believe Ms. Porter needs to follow her and pour on the charm, I’m sure Megan and Alice will help.

Bummer, now Megan can’t go to the concert. Maybe there is hope yet, just have to get Tina to listen and stop running away. If you like fried shrimp I know a pretty good place but it is Florida.

WOW, Tina can really jump to some Bad conclusions. It’s time for Shane to intervine and go to Tina’s ofice to explain that the tickets were on the “Up and up” and Bette is hurt by Tina’s assumption (Of course she should have the tickets in hand, so that Megan can still so to the show). I love this story, it is very interesting. PPS :o).
Okay, surely Tina overreacted a bit, but I’m also very glad that she’s not at all impressed by the “world’s most famous star” title… Speaks a lot for her! … Now, Bette, get your ass in gear and make that fate appointement at the dentist’s, no better, go there and claim some emergency!
