    Who answers the door and will they let Bette in?

    Previously… 

    Bette could feel her heart pound in her chest as she reached for the handle of the dental office.

    She turned the knob a little but was met with some sort of resistance. She tried the handle again. Oh no, it was locked! She tried the handle one more time to make sure. Yup, it was locked. She looked at the front window to see the big red closed sign sitting in the bottom corner.

    She couldn’t help but give the door a little kick with frustration. Here she was mentally preparing herself for nothing.

    She turned to leave when a small voice grabbed her attention.

    “May I help you?”

    Bette turned to find a small girl, around the age of 12, standing at the door, her blonde tresses neatly tucked behind her ears.

    Bette took a step forward, extending her hand, “hello, I’m Bet…”

    “AHHHH BETTE PORTER” suddenly screamed the little girl. “BETTE PORTER AHHHHH.”

    Bette was taken aback as the girl suddenly ran out and around Bette, jumping and screaming in some sort of frenzy fit. Bette couldn’t help but laugh. It had been a long while since anyone had been this excited to see her.

    Just then Tina came rushing out the front door. “What’s with all the screaming?” she asked in a panic.

    “Bette Porter!” the little girl said in a short breath as she tried to calm herself down. “She’s here!!” the girl said through clenched teeth as she nodded her head towards the brunette. Bette again couldn’t help but laugh at the girl’s enthusiasm.

    “I see that Meghan” Tina chuckled putting a calming arm around the little girl. “It’s nice to see you again” Tina smiled at Bette.

    “What? No enthusiastic, body-launching greeting?” Bette joked as she looked up at Tina, down to the out-of-breath misfit, then back at Tina.

    “No, I’m sorry” Tina said flatly which quickly wiped the smile off Bette’s face.

    “Oh…um…” Bette stuttered as she looked down at her feet.

    “Mind you, if you had actually fixed my toilet, it might be a jumping hello, for now you will just have to settle for a handshake” smiled Tina as she extended her hand towards Bette.

    Bette looked up with a smile and eagerly shook Tina’s hand. “Well that’s why I’m here actually” Bette began.

    1. It’s good that Tina likes Bette for who she is and not what she does. I am guessing that Alice is the mom of the adorible 12 year old who just loves bette’ music, so maybe she will be a little m,ore selective about what she writes about the band when she finds out Tina loves oops I mean likes Bette. Back stage passes yea meet the band, got cosy, learn a little bit about each other. Can’t wait for the next chapter.

    2. Meghan’s reaction reminds me of how I WASN’T star-struck as a child. Now, however…well, at least I’m not as bad as people who go completely bonkers. PPS! xD

Love the tale already. Meghan is such a teenager, but so sweet… Hmmm, so Tina didn’t get that Bette would be on stage… Interesting… That end with Alice was priceless, I can totally picture her going frantic about whatever… Please more soon. So glad you decided to write again. That site missed you!

    18. Still think its hilarious that Tina doesn’t “get” who Bette is yet.. however, I think that is for the best. She likes her because she is sweet and funny.. ohh and lets hope she doesn’t forget how hot Bette is. But its definitely not because Bette is some big star. Can’t wait for more. PPS.

Anyway, it seems this bet wasn’t challenging enough for you, eh ? You had to add a few new “rules” for you to follow (by the way, thanks Gigi for suggesting them)… Good to know… I’ll try and remember that ( too easy, boring, … ) . LOL !! Now, it’s crazy what you can learn from the internet these days, isn’t it ? I mean, plumbing !!! LMAO !!! Yet, if world famous rockstars start stealing jobs from hard-working people, where is this world going ? There is something very wrong here, I’m telling you ! LOL !!
