Previously…
One cup of tea and one fixed toilet later, the three ladies said their goodbyes before Bette turned and walked out of sight down the street.
“OH MY GOSH Aunt Tina, she’s the coolest person in the world!” Meghan said flopping down into on of the waiting room seats.
“We just had a running toilet, it wasn’t the end of the world” Tina laughed walking over to the reception desk. “But yes, she is pretty cool” Tina smiled.
Just then Alice came barging into the dental office “I’m being STALKED!!” Alice yelled as she rushed around to shut all the curtains.

“Don’t just sit there ladies, lock all the doors” Alice said as she rushed to another window.
Meghan and Tina looked at each other then back at Alice. “You okay Al?” Tina asked skeptically.
“I already told you, I’m being stalked” Alice said ducking down beside a chair in the corner of the room.
“Stalked by who?” Meghan laughed as she looked out the window at the empty street.
“There’s a woman out there, look again” Alice said.
This time Tina got up and looked out the window. “No one is out there Al, are you sure?”
“Yes I am positive!!”
“Well who is stalking you?” Tina asked trying very hard not to laugh.
“Some woman, she has brown hair and supposedly a wide range of knowledge when it comes to umbrellas” Alice blurted out without taking a breath.
“Okay, okay, relax Alice, she’s not there anymore” Tina laughed sitting down beside Alice.
“Are you sure?”
“Yup, she’s gone” Meghan added looking out the window again.
“Wow, I’m telling you, I am Little Miss Popular” Alice said standing up and brushing herself off.
“Oh I already know” Tina said as she smiled at her friend. “So what brings you here?”
“What? Can’t I just show up to see my friend and her little niece?” Alice said.
“No!” both Tina and Meghan said in unison.
“Well why is she here then?” Alice asked pointing towards Meghan.
Meghan merely stuck her tongue out at Alice, and in retaliation Alice did the same to Meghan.
“She’s my niece Al, she doesn’t need a reason” laughed Tina as she flipped through the reservation book.

Oh my god what crawled up her butt? i hope Alice doesn’t talk her into something stupid before Bette has a chance to explain how refreshing it was to have someone be interested in her and not for who she was for once. pps
I’ve been waiting for an update of this one. Damn, Tina needs to relax. The tickets were kind of a thoughtless gift. Not like Bette went out and got her something.. but still, she had good intentions. Hope they work something out soon. PPS.
Well, since I guess I’m not allowed to say that I love this story… ( pouting ) What can I say ?… I love the fact that Alice is modest enough to actually believe she’s the one who’s stalked and the fact that she gets paranoiac about it ( btw, loved the “Little Miss Popular” joke ). Oh, and Tina definitely has to venture out of her office sometimes !… LOL !! Well, we did learn something pretty interesting about her though, it seems she’s not into men, eh ? … Weird ( lol ! )… As for her rather harsh reaction to Bette’s “invitation”, I must say I’m glad that she still sees a human being in Bette, that she’s a genuine, down to earth person and not completely amazed by everything the star says or does like everyone else. In fact, I’m pretty sure this is part of the appeal in Bette’s eyes. Here is finally someone who’s not impressed at all with her fame and therefore who hopefully is going to have the opportunity the get to know the real person behind the name ; the sweet, sensitive and shy Bette who’s hiding behind the mask of the super selfconfident rockstar. OK, I might be getting a little carried away here. This was only speculation… But I do think Bette must be even more intrigued now than she was by the surprising…dentist, and I believe she hasn’t been quite that taken aback in a loooong time. Now I really wonder how Bette is going to manage to make Tina change her mind about her… But I guess that sooner or later Tina is going to “come to her senses” too and realize she’s been a little unfair by not giving Bette a chance to explain, and also see that she may have “slightly” overreacted. LOL ! Now, one question stands supreme : where the “L” has the shy stalker gone ?

Ok, Tina doesn’t believe in letting someone talk does she (lol). Where does she come up with all these conclusions? She got a lot of apologizing to do.
Boy, Tina sure does have her bloomers up in a knot. Where does she draw her conclusions from. I say someone goes through all the trouble to fix your toilet and she thinks she is being made an idiot of. Great post. really enjoying the s/l

Ah yes, your Tina certainly is a complicated woman. She’ll accept the ‘charity’ of toilet repair, but not the tickets? (Has she priced out plumbers (and toilets) recently? The tix are probably cheaper …)
Well didn’t we get our panties all in a knot. Maybe she’s more upset because she feels so out of it not knowing who Bette was. I do believe Ms. Porter needs to follow her and pour on the charm, I’m sure Megan and Alice will help.
Hey, I was beginning to think you’d collected on the bet and weren’t gonna write anymore?! Well, just so you know, there is another secret bet about all of the chapters you are going to write and you must write them until you magically get to the number we all bet on!! LOL. Bummer, now Megan can’t go to the concert. Maybe there is hope yet, just have to get Tina to listen and stop running away. If you like fried shrimp I know a pretty good place but it is Florida.

WOW, Tina can really jump to some Bad conclusions. It’s time for Shane to intervine and go to Tina’s ofice to explain that the tickets were on the “Up and up” and Bette is hurt by Tina’s assumption (Of course she should have the tickets in hand, so that Megan can still so to the show). I love this story, it is very interesting. PPS :o).
Okay, surely Tina overreacted a bit, but I’m also very glad that she’s not at all impressed by the “world’s most famous star” title… Speaks a lot for her! … Now, Bette, get your ass in gear and make that fate appointement at the dentist’s, no better, go there and claim some emergency! We all know that you can make Tina see some sense… Come on, kill the bug and don’t let it bite you…! Muhahaha… Thanks and cheers, mate!
