“Tina told me that the woman in the painting is your sister… Umm I want to say sorry if I didn’t ask first for permission to paint her… ” Peter said shyly, avoiding the look that the dark haired woman was giving to him.
Bette was out of words, many things now were running in head. Where did Peter come from? How his life like was all those years that he was away from Kit? Did he even know that the woman in his painting was his own mother? How did he end up in Tina’s house and how long had he been living in the blonde’s art house?
Tina just remained quietly standing looking at the interaction between Bette and Peter, although the younger man’s skin was darker than Bette’s she could clearly see the resemblance.
Despite the questions she had in mind, it didn’t take away the fact that she was tremendously happy at this discovery and most especially thrilled for her older sister, Kit. She walked closer towards the nervous young man, placed her hands on his shoulders, gave him a smile then a warm and tight hug
Peter was so surprised at the brunette’s gesture, he didn’t know why but he felt comfortable right away with the woman standing in front of him, he nervously patted Bette’s back
Tina smiled at the touching scene that she was witnessing, her eyes now becoming glassy
“I’m so happy to finally meet you Peter and you don’t have to say sorry, your art work is so beautiful, in fact I should be the one who should thank you for making that amazing painting… so thank you”
“You’re welcome!” the young man replied, he looked at Tina and shyly smiled
Bette cupped Peter’s face, her eyes brimming with tears of joy
“Peter my complete name is Elizabeth Porter and the woman in the painting is your mother, Katherine Porter”
The brunette saw the immediate change on the young man’s face, from shyness to questioning look to a total surprise. He turned to Tina again who was smiling at him, she nodded letting him know that what the brunette had uttered was true.
Tears immediately welled up in Peter’s eyes and then the most amazing smile spread across his face. He knew that the woman in the painting was special but he didn’t know that the woman he was fond of was the person he had been looking for his entire life. He didn’t know what to say, tears began flowing like a river, he hugged Bette so tight as if his life depended on it.

Oh phacey what a nice and happy reunion! That meeting between kit and peter was really touching it made me cry and I’m glad that finally Kit and peter found each other. In this chapter Bette seemed more mature than who she was in the beginning of the story and i think Tina is still having problem dealing with relationships. My guess is that this “talk” between her and Sam might be the end of their relationship and I’m crossing my fingers lol!!! Thanks for the great update hun!
Lovely chapter. It’s great that Kit can have her son back in her life now especially now that she has the ability to care for him properly and give him what he needs; all the love she can possibly give him, the education that he needs, the stability that he needs and any material things that he might want since in his short life he has had virtually nothing, not even his own room. I think Tina was right in checking out his story and finding everything was just as he said but I wish that she had brought them together earlier when she first found out the info. They need each other, all of them. Now is the time for Tina to end things with Sam which she never should have started in the first place. Can’t wait.

Hey phacey, thanks for the update. So glad Peter is finally reunited with his family and that Kit is now in a position to be a great mother and to give him not only love but the material comforts of a good home, a great education, and a sense of belonging. Tina’s nature and her penchant for dishonesty still bothers me. If she didn’t have ulterior motives there would be no reason to keep Peter a secret from her mother or Sam even if she was waiting to confirm his identity before telling Kit. What is she afraid of? Looking forward to the next update.

The tears are overtaking my eyes I cant suppress them. This was amazing, loving, painful, terrifying, emotional, all at once. Im so sad that Bette and Tina didn’t get back together but what’s done is done! Only time will tell now….Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please finish this story!!!
