“Tina, again, thanks for everything that you did for me and most especially for Pete, I’m forever indebted to you”
“Oh Kit I’m just happy and thankful that after all the years of pain and hardships finally you and Pete found each other and that’s enough for me”
“Yes and it’s all because of you” Kit said then hugged Tina tightly
Bette was just standing a few steps away from the two women smiling at them
“Well your welcome, you know what to do if you need me okay?”
“I know and thanks again”
“No problem, well it’s getting late and I have to be at the center early morning so gotta go home now, bye!”
“Yep, bye baby girl!”
“I’ll walk you home Tina” Bette offered
“Bette you don’t have to”
“I know but I want to, that’s the least thing that I can do… I hope it’s okay”
“Okay…”
Bette and Tina walked in silence, both deep in each other’s thoughts
“So this is me” the blonde said when they finally reached her beautiful country style house
Bette smiled “Yup, uhm Tina…”
“Yes?”
“I know you’ve been hearing this all night but I just want to say this again…thank you”
“Well I’m going to say it again too… you’re welcome!”
Both women laughed then held each other’s gaze; Bette walked closer and hugged Tina. The blonde was delightfully surprised at what the brunette did. It felt really good that things were becoming better between the two of them and both were beginning to enjoy this new found friendship
“Oh well, I’ll leave you now” Bette said
“Alright”
“See you around”
“Yup”
“Goodnight”
“Yea you too, goodnight””
Tina went inside the house when Bette was already out of sight. She went first to her mom’s room to check on her
“Hey Tina”
The blonde saw her mom’s caregiver walking from the kitchen with a pitcher of water in her hand “Yes Nancy?”
“Sam called an hour ago, she said that she’s worried sick because she couldn’t reach you and that you are not returning any of her calls and text messages. I told her that you’re in Katherine’s house and that you forgot to bring your cell phone with you. She told me to let you know that she can’t leave the hospital and come here tonight because they are still understaffed”
“Alright thanks Nance”
“No problem, I’ll go to bed now, goodnight!”
“Goodnight!”
Tina went to her room and as she read Sam’s messages she felt guilt washing over her and she thought about Bette’s words
‘Sam needs to know… she has the right to know’
The blonde started composing a message
Sam
I’m so sorry if I wasn’t able to return your calls and messages. I’ll tell you everything tomorrow night over dinner at your place…
Tina

Oh phacey what a nice and happy reunion! That meeting between kit and peter was really touching it made me cry and I’m glad that finally Kit and peter found each other. In this chapter Bette seemed more mature than who she was in the beginning of the story and i think Tina is still having problem dealing with relationships. My guess is that this “talk” between her and Sam might be the end of their relationship and I’m crossing my fingers lol!!! Thanks for the great update hun!
Lovely chapter. It’s great that Kit can have her son back in her life now especially now that she has the ability to care for him properly and give him what he needs; all the love she can possibly give him, the education that he needs, the stability that he needs and any material things that he might want since in his short life he has had virtually nothing, not even his own room. I think Tina was right in checking out his story and finding everything was just as he said but I wish that she had brought them together earlier when she first found out the info. They need each other, all of them. Now is the time for Tina to end things with Sam which she never should have started in the first place. Can’t wait.

Hey phacey, thanks for the update. So glad Peter is finally reunited with his family and that Kit is now in a position to be a great mother and to give him not only love but the material comforts of a good home, a great education, and a sense of belonging. Tina’s nature and her penchant for dishonesty still bothers me. If she didn’t have ulterior motives there would be no reason to keep Peter a secret from her mother or Sam even if she was waiting to confirm his identity before telling Kit. What is she afraid of? Looking forward to the next update.

The tears are overtaking my eyes I cant suppress them. This was amazing, loving, painful, terrifying, emotional, all at once. Im so sad that Bette and Tina didn’t get back together but what’s done is done! Only time will tell now….Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please finish this story!!!
