Ten days ago

Dana popped her head around the kitchen door. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the blonde in there.

“Hey Al, what are you doing?” She said as she walked towards the blonde.

“Oh hi Dana. I have no meeting today so I thought of coming home early to prepare for dinner. Susan will be coming back soon.” Alice continued to chop the onion.

“Ok.” Dana opened the lid of the steaming pot “Wow my favorite chicken soup!”

Alice smiled when she looked at Dana. The brunette was basically drooling over the pot of soup just like a child. She was mesmerized at the sight and forgotten what she was doing at that moment.

“Ouch!” Alice winced and stopped her motion. Shit she forgot she was chopping onion.

Dana put the lid down and moved to Alice’s side. She took her hand and examined her injured finger.  She winced when she saw blood came streaming out from it as it the cut was quite deep. Alice heart skipped a beat when she saw the concern look from Dana. She was about to say something but was cut off when Dana suddenly brought Alice’s finger to her mouth and sucked the blood out, and this made Alice’s heart to skip even faster.  Then she ushered the blonde to the sink to spit out the blood and ran Alice’s wound under the tap water.

“Wait here.” Dana said after she turned off the tap water.  Alice nodded. Dana rummaged the drawers frantically around the kitchen and came back with a small first aid kit. She applied antiseptic onto the wound which made the blonde winced. Dana stopped.

“It’s ok Alice it will go after a while.” Dana reassured the blonde. Alice managed to nod.

Dana continued and when she was done with the antiseptic she wrapped the bandage carefully around Alice’s finger. She looked into Alice’s eyes after that.

“Is it still hurt Alice? Do you want to go to the doctor?” Dana asked her voice was so full of concern.

Alice looked at the bandage around her finger and looked up to meet Dana’s gaze.

“No, it’s not that hurt anymore thanks Dane.” She smiled, trying to ease the brunette.
