“Everything. Sports, school, music, movies that kind of stuff.” Jess said.
“Are we still going to planet tomorrow for “Family Night” dinner?” Jess asked.
“I dont know. Why?” Tina asked.
“No reason.” Jess asked. Aside from getting to see the gang, Jess loved to hang out at the planet.
Bette walked in the door carrying a large duffel bag. Shannon came in slowly in after her carrying her book bag and another suitcase.
“Hey guys.” Bette said.
“Hey” Tina said.
“Hi” Shannon replied.
“Jess why dont you take Shannon up to the room.” Bette said.
“Okay.” Jess said getting up and taking the bag from Bette. “Come on” Jess and Shannon left the room. Tina looked at Bette.
“Come help me with the rest.” Bette said. Tina followed her outside.
“How is she and How are you” Tina asked.
“I am good, a little nervous, but good. I dont know about her. She is just quiet. On the way home she reminded me so much of Jess.” Bette said. She pulled a bag out of the back of the SVU. Tina pulled out the Bat bag and Gym bag and shut the hatch.
“Well if we have two Jesss we are going to have our hands full.” Tina said trying to make Bette laugh. Bette smiled.
“Isnt that the truth.” She said. They both laughed.
“So this is it. Mama said that your room would be done in a week or so. It is right there.” Jess said pointing to the dark room directly opposite hers. “It is really cool in there at night because of the sky lights.” She added.
Shannon had said anything yet. She was just looking around.
“Mom had my old bed put up in her until your room is finished she said that she was going to take you to pick out the stuff for your room tomorrow if you want.” Jess said. She hated silence.
Shannon sat her bag next to the one Jess sat next to the door.
“There isnt much closet space so Mama put up a temporary one for you to use if there isnt room in the closet.” Jess said sitting on her bed.
“Okay.” Shannon said. Bette and Tina came in the door.

Okay so I was wrong. I figured Bette’s secret was that she got suspended for some type of protest. Hopefully Shannon won’t have a really rough transition.

Big family. I feel bad for Shannon but thank goodness she is walking into another wonderful family. I hope she can adapt ok. Jess is such a good girl. I hope I have a daughter like that some day.

This chapter was very touching. I hope that Shannon will one day accept her family. Both Jess and Shannon already know each other so hopefully they can become true sisters.

Great update, love the story. Looks as though there will be adjustments for everyone. Losing her mother will be very hard for Shannon and everyone will feel the tension. I only hope she lets them help her through the transition and the death of her mother. There is a whole lot of love in that house and hopefully Shannon will let it surround her. She is young and change can be difficult for teenagers. Thanks for the post. Post again soon please.
I hope that Shannon will want Bette and Tina to adopt her later on. That family is sure growning, Just hope that Jess and Shannon gets alone. thanks
