Jess carried Ian into the nursery. She started to putting his pajamas on. Tina did the same with Teddy. After they were dressed Jess and Tina laid them in there cribs. Tina watched the way Jess looked at Ian and rubbed his back.
She thought back to the last business trip she went on. She came home to find Jess and the boys asleep in the bed with Bette. Ian were in the middle of Jess and Bette. Teddy was on the other side of Bette. Bette had her glasses on her nose. She had been reading to them. Bettes arm was across all three of them. Tina watched them sleep for a few minutes and then took a picture. She crawled in the bed next to Jess and wrapped her arms around her and Ian. After that night Tina and Bette both agreed that once a month they would have sleep over night where they would spend the whole night in their pajamas with the kids and then they would all sleep in the same bed.
She was smiling at Jess when she looked up.
“What?” Jess mouthed. Tina waved her to the door still smiling. They shut the lights off and went back into the living room.
“What are you smiling at?” Jess said sitting back down on the couch.
“You.” Tina said as she sat next to her. “So you going to tell me about Hayden” she added.
“Sure what do you want to know?” Jess asked.
“Everything.” Tina said wrinkling up her nose.
“Come on Mama you have to be more specific than that.” Jess said
“Okay do you like him or like like him?” She asked.
“I think I like like him.” Jess said.
“Yeah thats wonderful” Tina said. “What is he like?”
“Well he plays on the JV baseball team. He plays first base. He likes to play pinball and he likes the same kind of music that I do, or least he says he does.” Jess said. she hadnt quit smiling since they started talking. “He walked to class this morning and to practice after school”
“I saw he was waiting with you when I picked you up this afternoon.” Tina said. “What do you guys talk about?” Tina asked.

Okay so I was wrong. I figured Bette’s secret was that she got suspended for some type of protest. Hopefully Shannon won’t have a really rough transition.

Big family. I feel bad for Shannon but thank goodness she is walking into another wonderful family. I hope she can adapt ok. Jess is such a good girl. I hope I have a daughter like that some day.

This chapter was very touching. I hope that Shannon will one day accept her family. Both Jess and Shannon already know each other so hopefully they can become true sisters.

Great update, love the story. Looks as though there will be adjustments for everyone. Losing her mother will be very hard for Shannon and everyone will feel the tension. I only hope she lets them help her through the transition and the death of her mother. There is a whole lot of love in that house and hopefully Shannon will let it surround her. She is young and change can be difficult for teenagers. Thanks for the post. Post again soon please.
I hope that Shannon will want Bette and Tina to adopt her later on. That family is sure growning, Just hope that Jess and Shannon gets alone. thanks
