Helena froze. “What?” She whispered.
“Well,” Catherine moved her hand more gently now, trying to coax Helena back. “I talked about that idea, actually.”
“Did Bette agree with you?” Helena allowed her hips to follow her rising desire, pulling Catherine up against her, and moving her own hand downward. She pulled Catherine’s dress up.
Catherine moaned quietly, feeling Helena’s hand against her. “Yes…oh, fuck…yes, she did agree. She just said…” Catherine could not speak anymore. She came hard and fast, pressing against Helena and bringing her along. At least they had amazing chemistry, even if they couldn’t take this further.
Catherine took off her dress, helping Helena with her shorts and tshirt, and they lay together for a few moments until Helena brought up the topic of Bette again.
“She said,” Catherine nuzzled Helena’s neck, yawning. “She said that you and her will be great for one another—down the line. For now, you both have things to work out.”
Helena nodded. “Yeah, that’s what we’ve pretty much said to one another.”
“So why ask? Are you changing your mind about it all?”
Helena shrugged. “No, not really. There’s just this small part of me that wants more. Even though I know I’m not ready. Maybe there’s no such thing as ready. Maybe we all just leap and worry later.” Her eyes were closing of their own accord.
“Maybe…” Helena started awake and continued, “Maybe I should put a stop to this whole thing with Jodi and Bette, ask Bette to just be with me.”
Catherine hesitated. A thought was starting to grow in her mind—a plan which involved Helena. For now though, she would have to play it cool. Truth be told, she was not yet ready to give this woman up.
“Go to sleep darling. We can talk about this tomorrow.” Catherine kissed her soundly, before settling in for a few hours of sleep, with her resting against Helena’s chest, her mind soothed by the sound of Helena’s heart.
Catherine left at 7am, and Helena was up soon after. She made Alice breakfast which she brought to her in bed. Then she stretched out beside Alice while she ate.

That was kind of harsh, relegating James to the sub-human. OK, so I like Catherine a little better now, but she still needs to go. (The one on the show is a souless cypher.) It was interesting how she and Bette connected, though. Now why didn’t Helena lock the door and finish what she started after Phyllis split?

I thought this chapter was about both Bette and Helena realizing certain things. Bette is jealous of Helena’s past lovers, and Helena wants to do something with her life, maybe even in the way of art, is that right? They love each other and maybe even though they think they’re not ready, they are whether they like it or not. Office sex never goes well, lol. Too true. I really liked this. Thanks.

This chapter covered a lot and was a little confusing at time but the bottom line is that they are caring for each other even if they are not ready to commit to each other.i’m so happy they did not have a three some
